Another tool to track your project time.
I also work with a tool that tracks the time I spend working on a project. It´s free, but there´s also a luxurious version available. It is a VST plugin that automatically starts and stops when the project is opened and closed in CB. This way, you can see at the end how much time you actually spent working on the project. Of course, it can also be paused when taking a break. The tool is free and developed by HOFA. I dont remember exactly how he said it but Ed sheeran said something like: Before you are able to write rlly good music u need to write all your bad tracks first. Its so obvious but remembers me that its a long slow evoling process.

This is a hybrid trailer track i wrote last year for the UJAM scoring contest. I think its lacking some punch? And there are maybe also some hitpoints i have missed. I want to do more trailer music as well so im curious what you think about this one. :D

Silent Film Footage
Where do you find films or short films, animations, stuff like this, to score music to? I'm as new in film scoring as possible, and I guess there might be a) places where you can find films without music, or b) a tool with which you can delete the music from the film and then just write your own music over the film?

If you want to post it on youtube you could run into copyright issues with removing the music from the film. I rlly like thecuetube. They for sure have some gems in their portfolio!

What DAW are you folks using for film scoring?
I've personally tried to learn Ableton over the past year and I find it as unintuitive as any piece of software I've ever used. I play live as well as craft midi. What DAWs have you had success with?

Still on cubase 10.5 :D It just works with basically no crashes at all.
