Using AI images for album artwork and youtube
Hi everyone I have recently heard that a video game that used an AI cover and won game of the year has had the award stripped from them due to the use of AI art for a game cover. Do you think that moving forward we will need to find alternate artwork for Album covers and youtube videos to be safe? Or is it ok to still use AI?

I wouldn't worry about it. You shouldn't be judged for using it or made to feel bad for using it. No one's forcing you to use it. And if you do, just use it responsibly and make sure you are within the content terms of service for whichever content platforms you host the content on (some may not allow AI use, and some may allow but with limits for excessive use). It's not meant to replace human creativity, but to amplify it. It's just a generative tool that can be used along side your other tools. No reason why you couldn't just use it temporarily and then go the more traditional route if you want to hire a cover artist when you have the funds.
AI Video Generation Limits?
I was planning on doing some social media shorts where I post videos and add my own written music to the video and been messing around with Grok video generation but the videos are limited to 5 seconds, even with the paid X.com $8 subscription. Does anyone know if getting the higher tier subscription (SuperGrok I think it's called) raises the duration of videos? I tried to make a longer scene, basically telling Grok to use the last frame from a video for the first frame in the next video generation and to make it a seamless and smooth transition, and then stitching together the 5 second videos into a longer one (with ffmpeg command line tool... lol I'm old school) ... but this method isn't ideal because the video stutters every 5 seconds. I don't know if it's a limitation of the tool I'm using (ffmpeg) and need to get an actual video editor or if it's a limitation of trying to glue videos together in this manner. Any way to fix this? Are there other video generation AI that can create longer videos? I'm guessing I have to pay...is there any free ones or are the free ones also limited to 5 seconds? I like Grok because I use it daily to research things, and the image/video realism looks fantastic. I get it that these things are still new and in active development, but the 5 second limitation is a real vibe killer and so far my attempts to work around it have failed. If I gotta pay I might just have to, but it would be nice if there is a free tier that I can mess around with first, but it's not necessary. Anyone know any good ones or what would you recommend/use?

@Ariel Yznardo My apologies! I COMPLETELY forgot about my posting. It was the hectic holiday season lol. I appreciate the reply! Yes, I've been messing around with Sora, thanks for the suggestion. Sora is a bit longer then Grok, but I love both of their results they give, just wish there was a way to remove the Sora watermark or improve the video quality. And make the prompting more customizable! I have been testing out PixelDojo, it aggregates several of the top AI models and has a lot of other nice features and editing tools. But it comes down to having to spend money haha because it's using the credits system that some other AI sites use, which can quickly get expensive as you're trying to reiterate and find the perfect prompt/generation. I tapped out my monthly credits in less then an hour 🤣😭 I also did some digging and found out about AI cloud generation, where you basically rent out an AI GPU cloud setup for cents to a few dollars per hour, and it lets you setup and customize whichever open source AI generation UI you want to use, such as ComfyUI. One of the ones I see being recommended often is runpod.ai, there's a bunch of others if you search reddit. But I don't have the time to search for the cheapest one lol. There is a learning curve to setting it all up, because there's command consoles involved, but I think it might end up being the cheapest and most customizable method in the long run. I tried to setup ComfyUI locally on my desktop, but my GPU can't run the latest video generation AI models, haha, so I'll have to go with the cloud.

@Alex Pfeffer Yes, this is true Alex! I will have to keep that in mind and mix short scene shots for now until I can find a solution that works for me where I'll be able to add in some long scene shots. I did some research and found out about something called video frame interpolation and that might help get rid of the stuttering by smoothing things out. I'm hoping either FFMPEG or Davinci Resolve can do it.
šŸ’„ 24 Hours Left! Then gone forever! šŸ’„
Hey everyone! šŸ‘‹ Hope you all had an amazing Christmas and are getting ready for an incredible 2026! As we close out this year, I wanted to share a quick update about some changes coming in the new year. Starting January 1st, 2026: Courses are going subscription-only Right now you can still grab individual courses or get the full bundle, but from January 1st onwards, courses will only be available through a $27/month subscription. No more one-time purchases. If you've been thinking about picking up any courses, now's the time. I've also put together an all-access bundle at $497 - that's all 11 courses, lifetime access, one payment. (For context, that's 18 months of the subscription price, but you own everything forever.) Audio Artist Rise pricing update for NEW members Current members, you're locked in at your rate forever (nothing changes for you!). But for anyone joining fresh in 2026, the monthly rate will be $197/month instead of the current $97/month. Again, if you're already in Rise - you're good. Your price never changes. This is just for new folks coming in. No pressure, just a heads up! I wanted to make sure the community knew about these changes before they happen. If you want to lock anything in at 2025 pricing, you've got until December 31st. Here's to an amazing 2026 for all of us. Let's make it a breakthrough year! šŸš€ Drop a comment and let me know - what's your #1 music goal for 2026?

@Lex Windle I’ve asked Grok for mixing/mastering suggestions with good results. Grok usually provides links to sources with most answers (it’s built-in at the bottom of answers anytime Grok searches the web while thinking), and if it doesn’t I ask it to double check and provide sources, and sometimes I do it even if it already did provide sources. Saves me the time of having to google in most cases. Don’t know if ChatGPT does the same but I’d do it with any AI I use.
