Is Google Ads Ripping Us Off?
OK I’ve listened to this podcast twice now (lol), and it’s absolutely mind-blowing! We’ve all likely noticed—or at least all suspected—that when we increase our Google ad spend, our CPC "magically" 🧙‍♂️ goes up too, (basically the law of diminishing returns - and then it caps). John Moran, a Google Ads expert I’ve followed for a while, tested this on 10 accounts and shared his findings (like in the video he actually screen-shared it to prove it). He removed conversion tracking and showed his screen in the video to reveal what happened. It confirms what many of us have suspected: Google seems to be, in a sense, price gouging and how to avoid it (but man this is ballsy 🫣😬🤯, to say the least!!) What are y'alls thoughts on this?!? and @Austin LeClear - I would love you to cover this on "Ask Me Anything" 🙏 - I guess my "question" for you to answer is what is your take on this? Would you (or have you) tried it too....

Google is the Devil. Always has been...always will be. They don't give a chit..and don't have to. Find alternates and make G work for YOU...don't put all your eggs in 1 basket with this effin evil Company.
Is there any way to get further control over this spend?
from Google's "other Search Terms" ...pure and simple criminal behavior. Complete Money Grab. for a standard shopping campaign with "medium" priority..using phrase match for a Brand. Have a "hi priority" campaign to grab all the junk terms for this Brand as well. So in theory the terms going to the Medium should be fairly legit and focused. W....T....F?! I hate google.
Is there any way to get further control over this spend?

huge negative keyword list...only thing getting thru (that we can see) is specific brand terms and part #'s.

so Google says wait about "6 weeks" before making changes in Campaigns to allow the AI to find its way. In the real world, how long do you typically wait before making changes...small or major to Campaigns...PMax and Standard Shopping

Our Question for the Month: We're e-commerce, we sell stuff, so obviously Conversions means purchases. Questions: 1)We need to get to the magical 30+ Conversions in 30ish days...to really start getting traction-correct? 2)The Conversions can be ANY "event"(?) meaning add to carts, newsletter signs ups etc on top of purchases to get to that 30-is this correct? Look forward to your response.
