Love / Dating
On our last call I asked what a healthy relationship actually looks like to you. I have a follow up question :) Are your current habits aligned with that… if no, what would you have to change?

A healthy relationship has boundaries? And lots of acceptance as well as knowing ahead as to who the person is enough that you have to really be sure you understand how they are so you don't have misunderstandings.. that takes quite a while to summarize your lives too if you're just starting your dating so just approach with caution everything if you don't know them that well hehe, or something like that. Who's to say??
Relationship …
Can any of you tell me from your own experience when a relationship falls apart ?

I haven't really experienced a real connection, but I know a little bit about this. People are always trying to find the goal, & it's not always where you need to be is where you dreamed to be, because sometimes that's not where you belong. We all have our desires but those desires are what we want not what we need. Those desires kill any relationship I noticed. Greed too. Looking for more....
Need some options...
I'm hoping I can get some opinions on meeting other people in the wild. I struggle with making new friends and I need to be better about being out there, which is part of the reason why I joined this group. My biggest fear is (cliché) getting hurt again. I've been honest about myself in the past and it has lost me a lot of really close friends, so I learned a lot of people pleasing skills growing up (like many of us do). Now, Indiana is not queer friendly at all. The closest place i have to go to is a small club in Bloomington (~1hr away) or make the 2ish hour drive to Indianapolis. I don't do well in clubs or packed rooms. I've tried joining classes and going to parks. I'm at a loss and feel like it's something I'm doing or not doing. Any ideas or suggestions? (Also thought it might be nice in case other people need some ideas too 🙂)

Try to just meet up with some local interests, because you might really enjoy knowing that if you can talk about something it's way easier to break the ice than to talk about 0, and try to find your footing to start a relationship. It really is for the best for all people who don't know where to start to actually have a place to start. ✨ It can really add some magic to something.. too. I like that idea. Try talking about something though if you join a class, or make it a music class so there's talk about the interest I bet would be helpful.
Thought for the day
We are now living in a collective spiritual crisis. We have forgotten our belonging to each other and our living earth. This disease of separation desperately calls for the medicine of radical acceptance —a clear and open hearted presence that reconnects us with life. With radical acceptance we love ourselves and each other into spiritual awakening Tara Brach, Radical Acceptance

Radical acceptance. I agree, and like those words. Standing out for what it is worth, and making a statement is worth something. It's the only way to stand out is to really add something to stand through the entire world and not put your foot down, total honesty needs to be done. We have to do this through ourselves made me feel a lot of emotions Unique concept
Social media is getting more toxic
Sometimes I feel like deleting all social media accounts because I can’t cope anymore with the level of aggression and violence of people’s words ! Is it me being over sensitive or is there really a degeneration of speech ?

I really almost have such a disdain for social media?? Not like in a way that is completely like isn't this positive thing that can enhance life but rather I always saw it as something that elevates a need for validation and a fake narrative about what life is about.. nothing on there feels real and everytime I see a photo of a couple kissing, I feel this strange feeling of I saw someone in the news with a photo just like it and all that happened after it. It's an illusion. I can't focus on reality if I am too busy focused on photos of what I already did. But to be focused on your point, aggression will always be shown behind a screen because they can't come through and hurt you directly so they just know there's no consequences and damage people based on qualities of social media.
