Finally recouping from ScentFest, figure it's time to post some picks, hanging out with the boys, @Aditya Choksi @Thomas Chavez finally got to meet @Lon Chaneyfield and @Antonio Centeno which by the way if I could get a copy of the photo you took of us outside that would be great. We utilized all 3 days and the VIP pass was fantastic. I will get my haul pics put together for a later post.

Looks like an amazing time. Wish i could have made it.
Anyone else feeling disappointed at the direction of YouTube content?
So I’ve noticed a trend recently that Youtubers are spending more and more time glazing Middle Eastern brands and clones, with more and more “Top 5 dupes for summer” or “Top affordable fragrances for date night” or whatever that just keep recycling the same offerings. At the same time I keep seeing the same Youtubers at exotic locations, like the pyramids or Maldives for events thrown by these brands. Now, I always had to take with a grain of salt anything that these folks had to say for the most part, and I get that hyperinflation is putting more and more designer and niche offerings out of reach for most people, but I feel like the trend is resulting in less and less content that is relevant to me or that I feel I can learn from. Or that I can trust as being truly impartial. At the other end of the spectrum, there are a few true content creator connoisseurs that don’t seem swayed by paid promotions and aren’t following the trend to emphasize Middle Eastern and clone offerings, but my issue with them is they feature all these random super ultra niche houses and frags that are nearly impossible to sample — and when I do manage to sample them, for the most part they turn out to be beautiful works of art that are absolutely unwearable for me. So I’m feeling stuck in the middle and less and less satisfied finding content I like. Anyone else feeling this way?

Glad to see I am not the only one feeling this. It is so repetitive and unappealing anymore. Even the ones out there doing different stuff like you said are so far niche that is hard to experience it. I have been struggling with fragrance content in general lately.

Going to the Tampa area in a few weeks. My best friend and I are both frag heads. I’m planning on getting at least one niche fragrances while I’m there. Do you all have any recommendations of stores in that area. Port charlotte-Tampa/sarasota

In Orlando there is La Jetee perfumery, if you want to drive that far. Nice place though with some good unique things.

Last night I was poking around the Guerlain website looking to see if there were any samples I wanted to try and would make my list for when I go back to the store to see is my sales associate could get me a couple. As I was telling my wife which ones I was interested in she goes “I have that one” “I have that one” yes “Inhave that one too” 🙄🤣 This is what happens when you both share the hobby but don’t keep your collections together 🤷‍♂️ Without saying a word She went to her collection and left me this one to try today as a surprise. I have to say this one is really nice. It has some spice to it but the projection is about 2’-4’ I’m 5hours in and the longevity is still here and making its presence known (in a good way) I’m glad my wife left this for me.

This sounds right up my alley, I may have to hunt down a sample of this.
