Whats your biggest health struggle right now?
The secret to eating carbs and losing weight.
A lot of people think carbs are the enemy. Carbs have their place although we do sometimes need to be wary of how many we are eating and what type of carb we are eating. Like any type of health regime - it all depends on your goals and what you are trying to achieve. Every body and everyones goals are different. Here’s the thing no one tells you: You can eat carbs and still lose fat. The real problem isn’t carbs themselves—it’s how we eat them, what type we are eating and when wee are eating them. One invisible threat is eating certain carbs by themselves. When you do this, your blood sugar spikes, giving you quick energy but leaving you crashing later—and craving even more carbs. I experienced this firsthand. I used to grab three slices of gluten-free toast (filled with sugar) and by the time 10am rolled around I was starving which would have me reaching for a sugary treat. Another issue is not pairing carbs with protein or healthy fats. When you combine them, your body digests the food more slowly, keeping your energy steady and preventing fat storage. The third issue? Many women skip carbs altogether, which can backfire. Your body needs carbs to fuel workouts, balance hormones, and keep your metabolism running smoothly. Once I started eating smarter—not avoiding carbs but balancing them and making sure I was concentrating on complex carbs—I noticed a huge shift. I had more energy, fewer cravings, and I didn't feel deprived. Here’s the takeaway: Carbs aren’t the problem. The key is how you eat them and what type you are eating. Its about balancing carbs with protein, fiber, and healthy fats, and at the right times of the day. Your body is designed to thrive with the right fuel, and carbs are part of that equation. If you’re tired of feeling stuck or confused about what to eat, hit reply and let me know. There’s a better, smarter way to make carbs work for you—not against you.

3 Surprising threats to your metabolism!
Most people think boosting metabolism is all about eating clean, working out hard, and staying “consistent.” But here’s the truth: I followed all those rules… and my metabolism still tanked. It wasn’t until I stopped overtraining and stopped restricting food that my body finally responded—and that’s when I uncovered some shocking truths no one was talking about. Here’s what you need to know. #1: Overexercising is wrecking your metabolism. Yep, I said it. The harder you push, the more your body fights back. I used to work out 6 days a week thinking I was doing everything right—but my energy crashed, my cravings were through the roof, and results stalled. Turns out, too much stress (yes, exercise is a stressor) tells your body to hold onto fat for survival. Backed by science: research shows that chronic cortisol spikes (from too much intensity and too little rest) can literally slow your metabolism. #2: Eating “too clean” can backfire. I was obsessed with clean eating—low carbs, no sugar, no treats—thinking that was the secret. But all I did was damage my relationship with food and starving me of the things I enjoyed. Without enough fuel, your metabolism gets sluggish. I see this all the time with my clients—once we fuel properly, the fat starts melting. #3: Poor sleep is like hitting the brakes on fat loss. You can eat perfectly and train smart—but if you’re not sleeping, your metabolism will be affected. I ignored sleep for years and wondered why nothing was working…until I made sleep my #1 priority. My results? Insane. And my clients? They’re blown away at how much sleep alone changes the game. Takeaway? Your metabolism is not broken. It’s just protecting you from the things you didn’t realise were hurting it. It’s time to stop punishing your body—and start working with it. PS My 12 week Group program is now open. If you join before the end of may you will receive one week free. For more information - send me an email [email protected] or DM me! :-)
