Thought I'd also share this. This was inspired by a pattern I saw posted on a spinning and weaving site. I converted it to peyote and made an anklet to coordinate. You see the clasp on the bracelet? I recycled it from a vintage necklace. I wore the bracelet to the grocery store. When I got home, no bracelet. I was devastated. Called the store. Nope, no one had seen it. Called again the next morning, and it had been turned in! So, back to the store I go. The unsafe clasp has been replaced with a very secure lobster clasp!

One of my early creations
This was a bracelet I designed soon after I learned peyote. It is composed of hexies joined together. I call this "None of This is Normal"

My Protest Art
The White Pantsuit Project. I was fascinated by the posters from the Women’s March 2017 and 2018. This project started as a way to deal with the political climate of that time. It became a piece of thankfulness. It celebrates women and women leaders from the start of the Civil War to Suffrage, Women’s Liberation, today and the future. The piece is made up of Peyote bead weaving, lampworked and flat glass. It was my sanity.

Oh. My. God. You need to show this suit around the country, if you haven't already! I don't know where you are located, but I live near Syracuse, and Seneca Falls, in central New York, the epicenter of the birth of the women's suffrage movement. There is a museum there that I am sure would love to showcase this! And it should be brought to the attention of the Smithsonian! Really, this is a powerful piece, and should be shown.
An experiment
I was playing around with some cheap beads, wondering if I could weave bands of peyote. The grey reminded me of chain mail. I was reading the Game of Thrones series at the time, and it got stuck in my head. Well, if you are familiar with GOT, there is a lot of blood involved. I mean a lot. So….I’ve named this bracelet “Winter Is Coming”.

This is no ordinary box! This is an origami box and it's pretty cool!!! It's a funny story and kinda all happened so fast, but here's a little breakdown. Met a new friend on Facebook, have a lot in common, she joined a couple of the groups I'm in and in one of those groups someone posted their completed origami box and told me where she purchased it. Well, it had slipped my mind until Terry tells me she's going too have to purchase a pattern for herself. I went to Etsy to do so as well before I forgot again. Neither of us knew which pattern the other got, and we started working on them. She mentions she's doing silver and black, I laugh bc I am doing gold and black. She commented on the post and I lost it. 🤣🤣 Same pattern. Silver and gold!! 🤣🤣 These take approx 2 tubes of 2 colors once all is said and done, but i used a gold lined crystal and only 1 tube. Tried to figure colors and well, here's what I've got so far.
