Hello to all you amazing bead weavers! 💕I’m new to this wonderful community; as well as beading. I am able to follow some patterns while others seem to be a bit confusingI’d love to learn 3D beading and improve my jewelry-making skills. I would love to know where I can purchase decent quality beads without breaking the bank? I know I can get some from Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I look forward to seeing all the beautiful things that we create!

Thought I'd also share this. This was inspired by a pattern I saw posted on a spinning and weaving site. I converted it to peyote and made an anklet to coordinate. You see the clasp on the bracelet? I recycled it from a vintage necklace. I wore the bracelet to the grocery store. When I got home, no bracelet. I was devastated. Called the store. Nope, no one had seen it. Called again the next morning, and it had been turned in! So, back to the store I go. The unsafe clasp has been replaced with a very secure lobster clasp!

Today is the first day this week I have had the chance to bead. We only had two ladies in our class. We did ladder stitch for the top and finished as fringe earrings. I thought the ladies did a great job and all was finished during the class.

Here are a couple things I have done/currently working on. This is my first real attempt at using a bead loom, and not sure how I will get it off the loom and keep it from coming undone, guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get there…lol…

We have added to our family a few days ago. Our 5th grandbaby was born. He is still in NICU. We have had his 3 year old brother and 5 year old sister. So Labor Day I needed a quick, same beading project. So here is what my 5 year old chose to make together.
