๐ŸŒฟ Grow These Perennial Herbs Now for Next Spring
Fall may feel like the end of the growing season, but for perennial herbs, itโ€™s just the beginning. Planting them now gives roots time to establish before winter, so theyโ€™ll come back stronger and fuller in the spring. If you love cooking with fresh herbs, fall planting is the secret to a head start! Mild onion flavor, easy to grow, and perfect for sprinkling on soups, salads, and potatoes. Chives are hardy and bounce back quickly in spring. ๐Ÿ. ๐“๐ก๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ž Low-growing, fragrant, and excellent for seasoning meats and vegetables. Itโ€™s drought-tolerant and thrives in containers. ๐Ÿ‘. ๐Ž๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐š๐ง๐จ A Mediterranean classic, oregano brings bold flavor to sauces and pizzas. Hardy and fast-spreading, so give it room! ๐Ÿ’. ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ญ Refreshing for teas, desserts, and cocktails. Best grown in its own container since it can spread aggressively. ๐Ÿ“. ๐’๐š๐ ๐ž A fall favorite with earthy flavor, great for roasts and holiday dishes. Its silvery leaves also add beauty to container gardens. ๐Ÿ”. ๐‹๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐๐š๐ฅ๐ฆ Bright citrus scent, wonderful for teas and pollinator-friendly. Can handle cooler temps and self-seeds easily. ๐Ÿชด ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  & ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐“๐ข๐ฉ๐ฌ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ: Choose at least 10โ€“12โ€ deep pots with good drainage. ๐’๐จ๐ข๐ฅ: Use a well-draining mix; herbs dislike soggy roots. ๐’๐ฎ๐ง๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ: Place in a sunny locationโ€”6+ hours daily for best growth. ๐–๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐‚๐š๐ซ๐ž: Mulch or move containers closer to the house to protect roots. ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ: You might not harvest much this fall, but come spring, youโ€™ll be rewarded with lush, flavorful herbs. ๐ŸŒผ ๐…๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐“๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐ญ Planting perennial herbs in fall is like giving yourself a gift for next year. By spring, your containers will be bursting with fresh flavors ready for your kitchen. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Which perennial herb is a must-have in your garden? Share your favorites (and recipes!) with the group!

I love sage and need to start one right away. Thanks for the tips!
SNAILS
Hello lovelies! I live in Zone 9 and have nasty little snails crawling along the exterior of our house, and attaching themselves to my potted plants๐Ÿ˜ฌ. Not just a few, but at least 100. How do I get rid of them?
Compost saved my tree
I saved an oak tree in my yard that got hit by lightning. My compost bin for 3 years saved the tree beyond my belief. It's now 4x the size it was.
Mini veggies
Just a random picture of yesterday's small veggie haul.
