Running Ads in the US with a .co.uk Domain – Considerations
We are a UK-based B2B business providing Virtual Assistant services, primarily targeting the UK market, and our website currently operates under a .co.uk domain. While we have been running ads in the UK, we are now considering expanding our advertising efforts to the US market. Before moving forward, we want to understand the potential impact: - Technical perspective – Are there any issues with running ads in the US while using a .co.uk domain? - User experience perspective – Could US audiences perceive a .co.uk domain as less relevant, or might it discourage them from engaging with our website? We’d like your expert opinion on whether it’s advisable to continue with the current domain or consider alternatives when targeting the US market.

@Samuel Bastian Thank you for your comment. Your comment has cleared up my confusion. My site is hosted on WordPress, and I’ve already set up a separate .com domain for our brand. My additional question is: should I continue using my current ad account for the new domain, or would it be better to create a separate account dedicated to the US market, given that our existing account is focused on the UK? What would be considered best practice here?
