Hello…. I seem to have these tiny, very fast moving, rust colored ants. I do see them inside…but, I can’t tell if they are in the hive or get in when I open and do inspections. What is your recommendation to help control these guys?
Just watched your YouTube. I am even more excited to learn this way of beekeeping! You had mentioned sending your honey and the store bought ones on the video to a lab. I just wanted to share this as an option. I plan on sending mine in but just haven’t quite gotten to it yet. They trained at Texas A&M and started this company. https://pearl-research.com/honey-analysis/
Just two days away from the first courses being uploaded. We are going to start off with reading your combs going into fall. That class should drop on Monday! Thank you guys for allowing me to get setup and rolling here.
@Jorge Garibay I do. I have a spreadsheet and document the following: Foundation Honey Pollen Brood Comb I document each in .25 increments. It then will graph it and show the brood, honey and pollen ups and downs to each date of inspection.
Hi Jorge. Can you please explain a little bit about this mentorship program? How are we going to learn? I am assuming that it is too late in the season to start a new hive. So, what do we do until spring?
