Hi everyone
I’m using ChatGPT regularly across different areas — learning, thinking through ideas, writing, planning, and problem-solving — but I feel like I’m still interacting with it at a surface level. I’m realizing that the quality of the output depends heavily on how well I direct the AI, not just what I ask. My question is:How do you personally “think about” and structure your prompts when using ChatGPT so it becomes a consistent thinking partner — not just a tool that gives generic answers? Are there any mental models, prompt structures, or habits you’ve developed that significantly improved the usefulness and depth of ChatGPT across everything you do? I’d love to learn how others are approaching this more intentionally. Thanks in advance!

@Farhad Nasserghodsi This is extremely helpful — thank you for breaking it down so clearly. The idea of treating prompts as briefings instead of questions really clicked, especially the context → goal → constraints → role framework. Also love the “externalizing my thinking” mental model — that’s exactly the direction I want to move toward. Appreciate you sharing this.
Hi everyone!
My name is Stilian. I’m an entrepreneur exploring different online business models and currently focused on understanding how AI can actually be used in real-world execution, not just theory. I’d say I’m at an intermediate stage with AI — I’ve used tools like ChatGPT for content, research, and productivity, but I know there’s a much deeper level where AI becomes a real competitive advantage. The main area where I’d love AI to help me is building and scaling online businesses more efficiently — especially content creation, systems, and decision-making. I joined this community because I resonate a lot with the philosophy of using AI as leverage, not as a shortcut, and I wanted to learn alongside people who are actually building. Fun fact: I’m very disciplined with routines — if I commit to learning something, I stick with it daily until I master it. Looking forward to learning from you all!
