First live client campaign, is this normal?
Landscaping/Contractor Client, Meta lead ads, €20/day. Got 4 leads in the first day at €4-6/lead, all converted to booked jobs. Since then, yesterday got 0 leads and will see today hoping for 1-3. Reach/impressions still climbing normally, frequency’s only 1.8, nothing obviously broken. Normal variance on a small daily budget, or worth digging into? Also curious what you’d realistically expect lead-wise over a full week at €20/day for local trade services. Also currently running a static that’s converted a bit but. Heard video ads tend to perform better in general, curious if that holds true for this niche specifically, anyone had good results? Thinking of testing one after the static’s had a solid 7-10 days running, don’t want to confuse it too early. If I do split the €20/day budget between static and video, any thoughts on the right split so I don’t tank either one? First time running a live client account, want to calibrate expectations properly. Appreciate any input 🙏

@Zachary Collins thats valid so do u reckon ill just chuck in the 2 vids tmr rather than waiting more days and letting meta optimise? cos i agree video seems like it'd convert much better bro so keen on just letting them cook

@Uncle Jimmy Mitchell Ayeee welcome back Jimmy🤝 Appreciate that man, genuinely helpful context. Makes sense about the early leads being a bit of a mirage, wasn’t expecting that. Given that, what would you realistically expect for lead volume over a week and a month at €20/day for a niche like this? Just trying to calibrate my expectations properly rather than panic over quiet days.

Following Jimmy's Business Advice Works...
Of course it's important to maintain outreach and hone in on one service, but I think Jimmy's advice on upselling/offering different things to clients can really help too. It's only small, but just sold my client a new website for €550 after 3 months of working together, arguably could've charged more but I'm happy with what I have. It'll be pretty basic so should only take a few hours too with a template + AI. This sale didn't take any long calls or convincing. We had a little bit of a strategic meeting, I just mentioned how we could upgrade and add some new features with a new website, along with how it could help improve/compliment our current Meta Ads, and he was happy to go ahead.

W bro, smashing it!
Need advice — struggling to get first SMMA client, email outreach only
Hey everyone, Looking for honest feedback from people who’ve been here. My situation: 20 years old, working a 9-5 until end of August so outreach is limited to mornings, lunch and evenings as home late. Running a Meta ads agency targeting local contractors in Dublin, Ireland. Everything is built — website, booking system, scripts, lead list of 500+ businesses segmented by review count. Have some savings and wanna try scale asap before leaving 9-5. Case study: Ran a live test campaign before approaching anyone — 10 leads in 5 days at €7.50 per lead. No actual paying client yet. What I’ve done: 10 days of outreach. 5 to 8 cold emails per day manually. Got 1 reply on day 1 from a warm lead who said they’re interested but too busy to book a call. No other replies yet. (Want to increase this but trying to warm up first) My problems: No testimonials making it harder to close Limited to email only — is this enough or do I need other channels Not sure whether to automate now or wait for first client One warm lead interested but won’t book a call — how do I close without being pushy Worried peak season is passing while I’m still getting started My questions: -What should a cold email to local contractors actually consist of to maximise reply rate? (Also not even sure if email is the best outreach for them but based on my current situation I cant really cold call as im home late) -Should I automate outreach now or wait until I have real client results? -What’s the fastest way to land first client with no testimonials? -Is cold email alone enough or do I need to add DMs and calling? -Is SMS blasting to local contractors legal in Ireland under GDPR — anyone done this successfully here? -Anyone been in this exact position — what moved the needle? Thanks for the help it is really appreciated

@Charlie Martin Fair play man 2,700 dials is serious volume and shows how much work goes into it — hats off for sticking at it. Interesting you're looking at Meta ads for yourself now, sounds like that's the natural next step once you've got clients and results to work with. How are you finding the one client it's working well for — what niche are they in and what kind of results are you getting them? That one client would be a great testimonial and should help a lot so thats class. What do you think the main issue is rn stopping you from scaling?

@Charlie Martin 100p Fair play man, kitchen renos is a great niche for it. Good luck with the two launches coming up, sounds like things are going in the right direction for sure
