Yesterday’s Stats: 🪶 Weight: 250.2 (new low 🎉) 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 15,026 💪 Push-ups/Sit-ups: ✅ 25/50 🍽️ Calories: 851 Yesterday was a strong day. Travel wasn’t in the mix, and I was able to push through with discipline. Even when the routine isn’t perfect, the effort stacks up, and that’s what counts. Cracking another new low is proof of that. Quote of the day: "Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude." — W.W. Ziege Attitude really does set the tone. When the mindset is right, even hard days feel manageable. When it slips, everything feels harder than it really is. Let’s finish the week strong. 🦆 #OFJ

Yesterday’s Stats: 🪶 Weight: 253.6 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 13,130 💪 Push-ups/Sit-ups: ✅ 25/50 🍽️ Calories: 1,946 Long travel day — 11 hours on the road — plus lunch with my boss who’s leaving. That made for a full schedule and could easily have been a step-free, low-energy day. I almost didn’t make the steps, but pushed out for a late walk when I got home and finished with 13,130. That felt like mental toughness and earned. I’m deciding whether to fast today — leaning toward yes. Between the travel, the readings on pace toward 246.4, and a date night coming up, a short fast seems like the right tool to keep momentum without being extreme. I’ll finalise that in the next hour and act accordingly. Small wins after a hard day are real wins. Keep stacking them. Keep the focus. Keep moving. Quote of the day: “It’s a lot more than mind over matter. It takes relentless self discipline to schedule suffering into your day, every day.” — David Goggins Interpretation: Discipline isn’t just motivation — it’s the proactive act of putting yourself through the work you know will pay off later. Scheduling the hard stuff (walks, limits, decisions that feel uncomfortable) is how the results get built. Today’s late walk was exactly that kind of scheduled toughness — not glamorous, but effective. 🦆 #OFJ

Yesterday’s Stats: 🪶 Weight: 252.6 (new low) 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 14,451 💪 Pushups/Sit-ups: 25 / 50 🍽️ Calories: 413 Yesterday was a strong day — disciplined on food, steady on steps, and rewarded with a new low this morning. My MBA project came together well, and even better, a co-worker took care of something I thought I’d be stuck with. Wins like that remind me it’s not just about the grind — sometimes things break in your favor when you stay consistent. Today I’m heading up to Minnesota to see my boss in his last week and meet the new one. Change always feels uncertain, but the core doesn’t change: keep showing up, keep doing the work, and keep moving forward. “There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect.” -Ronald Reagan The barriers are usually the ones we put on ourselves — doubt, excuses, fear. Push past those, and the path stays open. 🦆 #OFJ

Yesterday’s Stats: 🪶 Weight: 254.9 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 22,219 💪 Pushups/Sit-ups: 25 / 50 🍽️ Calories: 1,586 Yesterday was a solid day. I made up for Sunday’s low step count by pushing through and ending with over 22,000 steps, which brought my two-day average back above 12,000 where it belongs. That’s the standard, and I hit it. This morning the scale read 254.9, just a shade off Saturday’s low. That means the weekend bounce is fully behind me, and I’m right back on track. With just over two weeks until the next milestone of 246.4, I still believe it’s within reach. Life is full, work is steady, class continues, and there’s always more to get done. But that’s part of the deal — there’s always “more.” What matters is showing up each day and doing enough of the right things to keep moving forward. “If you’re bored with life — you don’t get up every morning with a burning desire to do things — you don’t have enough goals.” – Lou Holtz I’m grateful to have goals worth chasing. That’s what makes the work meaningful. 🦆 #OFJ

📘 Weekly Commitment (Week of September 21, 2025)
Last week’s numbers: 🪶 Weight change: -1.5 lbs (258.0) 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 102,629 (avg. 14,661/day) 💪 Pushups/Sit-ups: ✅ (Mon–Fri) 🍽️ Calories: Over Monday, planned skip Saturday, otherwise solid A steady week overall. Down 1.5 pounds, with a new low of 254.7 on Saturday before things ticked up after the off day and grandkid time. Steps stayed strong, push-ups and sit-ups were consistent, and calories were right where they needed to be outside the planned skips. This week’s calendar: 🏠 Home most of the week 🚗 Wednesday: Quick trip to Minnesota for a co-worker’s going-away party 📚 MBA class Tuesday night (should ease up after this week) 🍽 Date night Friday The plan is straightforward: - 12,000+ steps daily (anchored with a morning walk) - Push-ups & sit-ups Mon–Fri - Fast Tuesday & Thursday - Friday is an off night for date night - Stay calorie-conscious the rest of the week I need to tighten things up here at home and make some progress. Next goal is about three weeks out, and I don’t want to be scrambling to get there. Time to focus, execute, and stack another solid week. 🦆 #OFJ
