Cover feedback
Hey eveyone, what do we think of the cover? I feel like something is still not 100%. I was thinking when I print it to have the Cosmos Adventures as foil, or UV Spot. Anyways let me know your thoughts on how I can improve it. Thanks!

@Evy Escapes Thanks, but I still feel like something is missing or not quite right.

Shopify Author/ Blog/Store, Experiences and Ideas 🛒
Hi , I am creating my first Shopify-author/blog/store. I am looking for ideas of items to sell and content for the website, Please share your Shopify and other web store experiences and ideas here. I'm sure we could all benefit from your insights.

Well whether it's Shopify or other websites there are few things to consider. 1. As Annie said navigation - make sure it's simple and easy to navigate. 2. Keep fonts/branding consistent, so usually no more than 2-3 fonts, usually 1 for headings, and 1 for body text. 3. The one thing people forget most is to format their images correctly and make sure they're optimize for the web (this will help with speed) - because if your website is slow, people will leave 4. Make sure it's mobile friendly, and make sure it also functions on a desktop, but mobile first, so check not only in the browser, but I always check on my phone cause sometimes a heading for example may still be too big, but look good on the browser in mobile version. These are probably the biggest issues I see with things. Also I think it's important to have a good About page and really use that tell your story. I always check people's about page, and some are not great, but if I want to buy something from someone or a brand not known, I want to know a bit of the story behind it, the why, etc.
Writing the Book vs. Building the Website: What Comes First?
Can anyone share their experience? 🙂 Did you write your book before creating your website, or create the website before writing the book? 🤔

@Paulette Ng Yeah I think go with whatever you know for best for websites. I did used to work with Wordpres a bit as well, but found it too much to always keep up with updates, but if you're not actually selling, but selling from Amazon, then it'd prob more cost efficient right now. For me I did choose Shopify because as stated above I know it well, but also cause you can do email marketing in it, and you can send 10,000 emails per month for free, and after that it would be super cheap (haha not that I am anywhere near doing any of that) but wanted to try to get everything in one central place, rather than paying multiple platforms and having to setup all the systems again, because I find that very time consuming. There email designing isnt' as good as other outside platforms, but I'll take what I can get for now!

@Paulette Ng I don't know anything about ShopWired, to be fair it's the first I've heard of it, so I can't comment on it.

@Aurelia Storm Yes thank you, this is literally my whole strategy! Just posted my first reel with myself in it, cause I hate being in front of the camera but know it's important, and have plans for all the BTS, and sharing etc. Yes the concept is a different country for each book. To learn a bit about the culture, food, attractions, language etc. Every country will vary slightly. I will have a map in the front of the book, some fun facts, a language key (if it's non-English country) and in the back a guess where she's going next and a recipe to make. I will also be making an activity book to go with it, and some lesson plans for teachers.
