QUESTION ABOUT THE OPTIMIZE AND LAUNCH ON KDP COURSE
@Harleigh Manske I'm toward the end of the "Optimize and Launch on KDP" course and have a question. Instead of using Google Docs when planning our launch, can we use the Excel program that's built into the computer? I ask because I was wondering if there's a benefit to using docs instead of excel. I hope you understand this.

You can choose whatever software program is easiest for you! I just use Google Docs because I prefer Google Docs.

@Deb Hockenberry You’re welcome!
Author Illustrator Advice
Hello fellow creatives, I am looking to get advice from those of you who may be author illustrators. I so far have only been an illustrator. I do have plenty of books written and ready to be edited, but unfortunately, I am dreading illustrating my own book. Lol. What is your process after you spend so much time writing? Do you feel like doing your illustrations or do you have to wait for some time to start them? I have to continuously tell myself to take my time but currently I’m in this big writing sprint where book ideas just keep coming to me and I just keep writing. Unfortunately, I haven’t sat down to actually take the character moodboards I’ve made to make the character. 🤣 Any process advice? Do you write first and illustrate after sending to your editor? Do you wait until finalizing things with your editor? Have you created some sort of a brand vibe for your book? TIA, ET

I completely understand the overwhelm. I like to sketch out a rough storyboard first. I break up my manuscript into the different spreads and pages. Then I do a really rough sketch of what I think I want each page to look like and I don’t judge myself while I’m doing it. That’s the part that I think really trips us up. In the beginning just flow, and later revise and refine. I also like to treat myself like a kindergarten, and I set a timer for 20 minutes at a time, ESPECIALLY if I don’t feel like doing it. Hope that helps 🥰
Hello & ARC reviewer request
Hi everyone - New to this community, but have been following Harleigh's very insightful videos for almost a year! (thank you, Harleigh!) Looking forward to learning from everyone! I’m looking for a few ARC readers for my upcoming children’s picture book, Monster Trucks Stay Humble Too (launching April 7). It’s a gentle monster truck story for ages 3–5 focused on kindness, sportsmanship, and humility—designed especially for bedtime reading. If you’d be open to receiving a free digital copy and leaving an honest review, I’d love to include you! Just comment below or message me and I’ll send over the BookSirens link 😊 Thank you!—Renee (Kota Bear Books)

Hey @Renee Smith! I’m so glad you found my videos useful! I would love to be a part of this ☺️
Launching my first book.
My first book is ready to be loaded to Amazon, I think. I have published novels there in the past, that are not selling due to no marketing. Now, I want to have a marketing plan for my children's book series. I have listened to a few of your videos, and I feel you are the woman to guide me through this. Although quite mature, I am excited about starting on this new venture.

AN INTERESTING PHONE CALL
Has anyone here heard of Kravitz and Sons? I just received a phone call from them. They want to list 'Where Can We Have The Party?' on their website. I looked them up and they do have a website, but anyone can build a website before cold-calling people. I've gotten lots of spam before, but never a phone call! Has anyone ever heard of this place?
