Happy Friday!!
This week was mostly about resting. I was not feeling well most of it. Tuesday I did get a Pilates workout in but it left me so sore that today was just some restorative flow. Dutchess and I were channeling out inner calm.
Happy Friday!!

@Jared Nosal Thank you. I definitely need to do this. Mom life gets a hold of me and I don't eat for a bit after I workout. It makes sense that would affect my soreness.
Completion builds character
Loved this little nugget from Brendon Burchard on character and what it means when we follow through on our promises to ourselves. Enjoy! Finish this week with completion & character in mind!!!

Such a good daily fire. Thank you for the reminder to listen to the whole thing. I need to work on keeping promises to myself.
Hi I'm Bridget!
Hi everyone, my name is Bridget Esguarra and I am from Langhorne Pennsylvania. I am 39 years old and will be 40 in March. I am a mom of two beautiful girls. One is almost 4 years old and one just turned one years old. I have been with my husband for 10 years and married 5 1/2. I am a human resource manager for an aerospace company. I have my masters and human resource management and just love to learn. One goal of mine to get my doctorate but not tell anybody that I'm doing it and kind of just surprise everybody. That's a goal for another day lol. I absolutely love working out. It's my me time. My alarm goes off at 3:40 AM and I am up and at it. I am learning not to hit news so I can get my workouts done. One thing I struggle with is nutrition. I just cannot seem to get it down. I do come from the background of an eating disorder so I do feel like that plays a lot into it because I do not want to restrict myself or get into a bad habit. So for me, it's finding that happy medium. My husband is a restaurant manager so most nights I'm on my own. Those nights it's just me and the girls so I feed them and I run around packing lunches and getting ready for the next day while trying to get ready for bedtime. I used to meal plan. I used some meal prep, but sometimes you just get bored and don't want the food that you prep. I have been really thinking about going back and doing the portion facts from body but again I don't want to restrict. But I also think that is what I need right now. Looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know you all. My current workout right now is the Ladder app and I absolutely love it. I follow team Alpha and I get my running in as well as my lifting. It is the best of both worlds.

Nice to meet you Bridget!

Hello, I am Shauna. I live in Palmer, PA with my husband, baby girl Caitlynn, and dog Dutchess. I am a newer mom with a current 13 month old. I am trying to get us back into a routine now that she is slowly becoming more independent. That includes me regularly working out again. I did it before she was born but this year fell off with the transition in the house. I am also trying to find ways to make it easier for us to eat healthy at home as a working mom. I do work from home but my schedule doesn't always allow me to cook during the day. All of those things are to ensure that I feel my best in my skin and can do all the fun things I want to do with Caitlynn that includes Autocross car racing. I want to be an example of a strong women to my daughter.

@Christa Held Thanks. I got into because I was sick of sitting on the sidelines watching my husband. Like this community it is filled with a bunch of great supportive people.
Meet Me: Amanda
Hello everyone, I am Amanda from Allentown, PA. I am a mom, a wife, a Certified Wellness Coach (through NASM) and I work full-time for our local Head Start serving families living at or below the poverty line (I supervise some of the home visitors for the program). I started this group because for me, the "missing link" to getting fit was something I didn't know I needed.... The thing that helped me build lasting habits was having a space (similar to this) online to check into daily, post my wins, work through struggles, and have a place to belong. My journey began back in 2015 (September 30, 2015 so just around a decade) ago. Prior to that, I had not been able to get consistent with ANY healthy habits. Now I consider being consistent in almost all areas of wellness my superpower. I hope that serves as proof to you of just how powerful an online community with accountability and the right tools can be. This group was designed to allow me to pay it forward, as one other thing I've learned is that I feel most fulfilled in helping others who struggle find their own momentum and build their own long-lasting healthy habits. One thing I would love to improve is my ability to be present and patient, especially with my husband and son, but I want to work on this as a skill in general. Something that makes me "special" is that my son, Wesley, was born on my 34th birthday. In just 2 weeks (October 8th) he will turn 4 and I will be 38. It is one of the best gifts and biggest challenges of my life! Happy to have you all here!
