Some techs swear by it, some skip it. A dehydrator removes oils + moisture before primer. It's thought of as your “insurance policy” against lifting. Do you always dehydrate, sometimes, or never?
I used to use dehydrator & Primer. Now, after proper prep, I only clean nails with alcohol(sanitize) and then wipe with acetone(dehydrate), then continue with my Rubberbase. Ever since doing this, I never had any lifting. Some of my clients stretch appointments to 8 weeks, with no lifting and a beautifull regrowth. In my opinion, I think dehydrator & primers, are unnecessary. It's just extra chemicals, money & a waste of time.
