Which recruiter to go with (Decon)?
Hello all I just had some questions about which company to go with. Do the three companies- Westinghouse, RSCS, and Atlantic have their own strengths and weaknesses such as flexibility and pay? Or do you just pick one that has an upcoming outage that you're interested in? I saw the Westinghouse outage listings that had more information on its website than the other 2 unless im not looking in the right spot. For pay rates, per diem, UI, etc do you have to ask the recruiter about each outage for comparison or is there a link that has the specifics? Are you able to bounce from one company to the other to maximize work time? Thank you for your time and advice!

I can't speak of all the benefits of each company. But westinghouse currently has the most contracts.
Switching between companies, is it worth the hassle?
Westinghouse, RSCS, DZ. Is it more of a headache than it’s worth? Does it mess up company benefits, retirement, PTO, etc? I’m new and looking to start soon, not sure if I should take Brunswick with Westinghouse for jr decon just so the training and everything coming from them is streamlined and easy to manage or try to go with someone else as I hear you get worked really hard 7 days a week and there might be better options? It seems like getting worked hard on a 7/12 schedule and also trying to pass the first 7 trainings would be tough.

From what ive been told they used to be give people who switched companies hard times when they came back; back in the day. But I think they're too short all over now to really a big deal about it anymore. I fortunately haven't had to experience any hardships over switches.
Passed the FUN1 today .
Slotted to do the NISP classes in the 1st. I know at least one other person from here was in the test with me. I didnt get to talk to everyone in my class. But if anyone else here was in our group in here congrats!

Resume Tips?
Any ideas on some tips for the resume for a DECON position? I spent a lot of time in warehouses in quality roles prior to an office job I'm at right now. Is there anything the recruiters would want me to emphasize or anything they are looking for in particular? I think DECON is starting to open up position now, so I want to apply as soon as possible, if that makes sense.

Decon is short for decontamination. With decontamination / cleaning being one of their biggest jobs especially during cavity decon at the end of the outage. But they also are a bit of a utility they hang lead blankets for shielding, do lot of stocking and inventory, pull trash and/or laundry, etc. Youre previous experience in a warehouse gives you decent talking point as far as stocking goes.. and if it happened to be a food/beverage warehouse where contamination controls were in place then that's also a talking point. Decon is an entry level position though so you dont need a really good resume they just need to know you can work under high stake conditions keep your composure and following all radiological safety and security rules.
