Weather App Geolocation
Hey all, happy new year. I'm trying to implement automatic geocoding for the user location (home tab) but it only returns the coordinates without the location name because the API I'm using doesn't support reverse geocoding. Now obviously that's not ideal because I want the country and town names to be displayed. Of course when I use the search form everything displays perfectly as that gets automatically translated to coordinates but not vice versa. I've been on this thing for hours and am feeling pretty darn dumb right now 🙄. Is there any clever workaround or am I screwed? Also nice to see I'm not the only one that got hit with winter depression and was in hybernation mode, heh. Thanks in advance.

You are definitely not the only one that was in hybernation mode! I am working on the weather app React Challenge just now, I can't be of help though, as I have not gotten to dealing with the current location yet. I am using the open weather app API, which API are you using?

If you don't want to use another api to reverse geocode then "nearby" or "your location" sound like a good shout. You could also add a "set location" button next to it, if the user wants to change the header manually to their location. The api gives the timezone also, by the looks of things, so you could add that too possibly as a subheader.

https://codepen.io/PinkBeeMe/pen/WbxGPRq @Cristian Florea I did my best to implement all the feedback that was given to me before. I realize that it took me a long time. I apologize for the delay. Any additional feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. P.S. I whittled the CSS down from 1200 lines to 650...yay!

Nice and clean UI and code. I like your method of rendering a different quote. One tiny error that I noticed in your HTML, the alt text should have quotes around it. Nice work 😎
Codewars challenge update
@Cristian Florea I finally figured it out, it took a couple of hours 😆 although to be fair I was making dinner at same time haha. I stumbled upon a stackoverflow post about parseInt(string, radix), console logged to see if worked out to the correct nums, then realised what i had to do. https://www.codewars.com/kata/5a005f4fba2a14897f000086/javascript https://codepen.io/Smiley05/pen/KwzLJEv?editors=0011
