Quick update on live calls.
Hey everyone, Quick update on live calls. Attendance on the calls has been very low for a while, so Iโ€™m simplifying the schedule. Going forward, weโ€™ll keep only the Sunday live call. The other live calls will be removed. This keeps support available without running empty calls every week. Nothing else changes for now. If you have questions, DM me. Cristian

google coding interview
this is a presentation from google on how to approach a technical interview. I found it very insightful, although the solution is in c++, what is important here is the thinking process, how do you approach the problem, what are at least 2 ways in which you could solve the problem and which would be more efficient and WHY, edge cases and so on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKu_SEDAykw

thanks.
Random Coding Fact?
What's a random coding fact/feature that you just like knowing? For me, my all-time favorite error code is error 418. Because the HTTP status code 418, "I'm a teapot", indicates that a server is refusing a request. And I love it for being a funny way to say "we can't process your request because i'm a short and stout teapot" ๐Ÿ˜„

Margin-axis - CSS
Maybe Iโ€™m overthinking this, but I find the mx and my margin classes a bit confusing. I initially thought that mx would apply margin to the top and bottom, and my to the left and right. However, itโ€™s actually the other way around. In my head, I was thinking you would apply to both sides, but maybe the reason its one is because theyโ€™re wrapped within the same code?

hey Chris, did you figure it out?

@Adelin Rosca I always think of the x-axis as if you are "laying down" or looking at the line where the horizon begins.... and the y-axis as if you are standing up or watching the sun rise. Then z-axis is moving forward and backword (as-in depth perception). And I have to always remind myself of the positioning part when using the z-index for layering...sometimes I forget that the parent elemnt can not be static! ugggh!!...lol๐Ÿ˜
