I am sorry to say that since you did not do the snatches with the gorila you will have to do this again to claim the title of gorila slayer. Good work, congratulations, maybe barefoot or other footwear different than sandals will make the jerk more efficient?
wow #344 - BRUTALITY 🫯
THIS WILL GO IN MY WEEKLY PROGRAM - after the first round, had to pause, reconsider my life goals 😅, and start engineering the sets a bit - my lowest doubles are 16s so i used those for light and medium and used my old 20s for heavy bell set - i replaced LC with double jerk - i cut one set of each round so instead of 3-3-2 i did 2-2-1 planning to have a dedicated day for this each week, and progress up to 3-3-2 sets, then get in the LC instead of the double jerk

For this one I think is worth ivesting in double 12, is a complete different work out if you use three weights, and having double 12 opens new possibilities

Tried yesterday, 12, 16, 20. Managed almos three rounds, missed that last set to get to those very short 2 minutes of rest. You can tell when you are going to fail when you start to get behind the allotted times for each set.
the good the bad and the ugly
Watch this video and mention what part deserves to be in each category: https://youtube.com/shorts/D2wV_I0xLk4?si=QoCPzB4kxkOy7Xi0 I will star with the split snatch that seems very dangerous, so it goes straight into bad.
KB zone 2 training
I do not know if this makes sense, but I am incorporating zone 2 training so that I do not train only in high intensity zones. To make zone 2 training a bit more relevant I am trying to do it with KB, so it mainly involves doing a few reps and then waiting to control the HR, the heavier the bell the harder it gets. In my last attempt I started with double and single 12kg and then went up to 28kg doing mainly clean and press, jerk or press. I need to keep track of the reps and maybe not go above 16kg. I wonder if short peaks above the threshold make a big difference. I am tracking my HR with a chest strap.

@Andrew Hartzell I previously did something similar with a 12kg, I alternated different exercises without resting the kb. The problem was that at some points I had to rack the KB to let my HR stabilize and that racking became too much after a while. This approach was more fun but less zone 2ish. Walking by itself does not get my HR to the top of zone 2 and jogging is not an option right know because of one knee. Doing zone 2 with the upper body is complicated but maybe there are some gains waiting at the end. At least it helps with tendon conditioning and grip endurance if you do the no rest version.

So many mistakes that is hard to watch and to listen with that voice, but te girya does work your shoulders and now we know that GPP is the same as "ready for labor and defense"

Never did weights before the kb, but I know what I´m bringing with me to a deserted island. Practicing KBs since April 2023.
