Giving flatcaps and vests some attention.
Really started appreciating vests and flatcaps honestly, especially during transition weather. Vests keep your core warm while letting air circulate easier compared to a jacket. And flatcaps I've found to be very versatile when it comes to both outfits and weather. They are as follow: first two pictures, Stetson wool tweed, 3rd Stetson leather flatcap (cooler/rainy days, since the leather was treated with a mixture of beeswax and beef tallow), 4th Gotmann Silk cap (for warm days)

@Alan Dormire hoping to encourage people to give vests and caps a chance. I know the Peeky Blinders series had an impact, but one can go for an absolutely cartoonish look if not styled properly.
Stop buying new clothes before you get in shape
Guys, I get it - you finally found this group here and want to dress better immediately. But what completely shifts your looks/appearance is the shape you're in. Even if you're just wearing a plain and fitted black shirt and trousers it will look good and attract glances. I'm begging you to take 12-16 weeks to get in decent shape first before you buy a new wardrobe. This saves you from having to buy twice AND will boost your confidence more than any suit ever will.

While I fully agree with the post, just be mindful that it's easier for some than for others. Gentlemen, prioritize longevity and sustainability, you don't have to be shredded, just make sure the belly doesn't spill over the belt. When chosing a diet, ask yourself, is this something I would enjoy eating for the rest of my life? Be active, prioritize keeping your mobility and joints healthy (yes, I'm not the oldest here, but with 40 just around the corner, my joints are reminding me of when I pushed them chasing muscle mass). It's all about lifestyle and chosing something healthy that doesn't transform into a chore.

@Dr. Jason Cole in morbid obesity cases I fully agree, the benefits, far outweigh the side effects. I was mainly pointing out for people who are overweight but still very functional (their own bodyweight doesn't stop them from doing exercises), and are looking for a quick and easy solution. Ozempic is not a magic bullet and it very much presents it's own downsides.

How okay it is to wear a vest without a jacket?

Just made my own post about it. You can go for them without fear, hell, I wear one with jeans and a plain shirt, it elevates the whole outfit a bit without making it overly formal. Just be mindful of the colors and patterns that you match

Excellent color combination. One recommendation: the tie lenght is a bit too long, you want the tip of it, just above the belt, or about 1-2 cm gap, is generally acceptable) Otherwise very good choice with the knot size compared to collar size

First world problem I know, but which jacket do you like best for my flying out on Monday? I have also packet my Sand coloured safari suit and my empire green chore suit.

While I like green, feel like the cream/beige (?) jacket makes the blue pop out a bit more.
