We have been using our task manager for about 2 months now. We are still adding features. The code is running on our own private website, which has a name unrelated to our company. Right now, work is assigned to a manager to monitor. Subtasks go to individual staff members, when they finish their part and mark it done, the next subtask goes automatically to the next staff member, when everybody is done, it goes back to the manager. We have the staff enter their time as they work. We have weekly data on who worked on what, the time per day they work on their subtasks. We know who worked on billable & non-billable work, how much time on each. We have the time available for payroll, by staff, with their rates. Managers can review current work by client, or by staff currently working on something. Instead of paying $30 - $60 per staff per month, we pay $0. I have had to babysit the project, telling claude to check the html, js, and php code. I maintain the database and the code base.

It's the end of my first year of trading for one of my companies. I decided to put Claude Cowork and Codex to the test. Wow! First I asked it to go into my QBO account and analyse some of the expense categories and identify any misanalysed expenses my bookkeeper had made. Done ✅ Before I could reanalyse I needed some new Chart of Account entries (such as Intangible assets and Amortisation). I asked it to set them up for me. "Oh... and while you're at it, go through the default sales tax settings for each Chart of Account item and check it is correct for my company." Done ✅ I then needed to pay a dividend and account for it, but there was no "Dividend paid" in the CoA. And I wasn't 100% sure if that should be an Equity or Expense item (yes, I know, I'm a Chartered Accountant and should know better!). Anyway, the AI told me and then offered to set it up for me correctly in the CoA. And then do the journal for me. Done ✅ I then went into the Claude Excel add in and ask it to build out for me the work in papers sheets so I could pass onto my accountant together with the QBO file, so they could finalise and file my statutory financial statements. Minutes later... Done ✅ Next job for my agentic AI... analyse my QBO file and complete all the entries for my work in papers file. Four days ago, Anthropic released something that completely blew me away. It's called Claude Design. And it solved a problem I've been struggling with for weeks. I'm not a designer. Never have been. But I needed a beautiful eBook and a landing page for it... and everything I'd tried felt clunky or took too long. This isn't basic template stuff... it's proper, professional design that respects your brand guidelines. You only set up the design system once. After that, it knows your fonts, colours, gradients, logos... everything. Then you just tell it what to create. My honest take? This is the best AI design tool I've used. Better than anything I've tried in Canva for this kind of work. And it's fast... the eBook took about 10 minutes, most of which was Claude thinking while I got a coffee.
