Foster babies 🥰
Our new foster pups are Koolie x and sooo much fun. I have never fostered herding dogs and it blows my mind how different they play and they are already stalking my feet. At least they are not trying to shred everything like terriers 😂 Their mum is a working Koolie and dad a hound type of hunting dog from North Queensland. Send any herding x hunting puppy tips my way 😅

Exciting!
New book ready for new dog
My new dog, Lyon, arrives on the 4th of May, all being well. Ahead of his arrival I bought Alex Lato's book, Braveheart, it arrived today and is jam packed. I bought this book because the breed I've gone for, Cocker Spaniel, can be a bit on the soft, sensitive side, so an early focus on confidence seems like a good move. I also want to up my play game and he will be high drive so the more outlets I have at my disposal the better. I will be training him towards gundog working tests and whatever else he wants to get involved in.

@Holly Pearson Thank you Holly, great to be back. I'm already obsessed with him. Off to see him later today. I've enjoyed catching up on your posts about Aster and everyone else's. Xx

Reintroducing myself here. Im Sally, was here last year but my young dog died and then my older dog was injured. Now I'm back with third time lucky....Little Lyon. He's a Cocker Spaniel, he's from a friend that lives close so I've been involved from day one. He's coming home on 4th May, all being well, and will be 15 weeks old. I'm beyond excited

@Nick Benger thank you, I'm excited to be back, I enjoyed watching everyone's training adventures before and its the ideal place to log Lyons training.
Day 175: Wing Wraps and Ball Searches
More of the same today although Aster's flat again and just not the same. I don't know what's up with her atm. I don't think we've over done it, if anything we're not doing as much as normal... maybe this is the issue. I don't know. I'm not going to get too hung up yet but I just feel like something isn't quite right with her.

@Holly Pearson I agree, trust your gut.
Day 29 Silver and Indication challenge
We have signed up for SoCS and Jens Frank article indication. So this was day one, I'm really impressed, the lesson part was clear and gave me everything I needed, both the question thread and the Facebook live had interesting questions that Jens answered thoroughly and again, to me anyway, I find him really detailed and clear. He does that thing that all good teachers do where he answers the same or similar questions over again as if it's the first time he has been asked them. Silver nailed day one, I expect it to get a lot harder from here but we will try to keep up.
