🦚 Why the Peacock? (A little story time...)
If you begin to notice a new feathered friend hanging around, there’s a pretty big reason for it! When I updated the logo for my business, Naturally, MelissaMade LLC, it wasn't just because peacocks are fancy (though they totally are). It was actually a full-circle moment for me. Years ago, I ran events under the name "The Purple Peacock" out of a rented house in Springfield, GA. I spent hours researching that name because I wanted something that felt right. Turns out, the peacock is a total powerhouse of symbolism. We’re talking: ✨ Rebirth & New Beginnings (Perfect for when we "frog" a project and start fresh!) ✨ Prosperity & Good Luck ✨ Kindness, Patience, and Wisdom (The three things we need most when tackling a tricky stitch!) During a major "crossroads" season for the business, I did a lot of praying and reflecting on where to go next. The peacock kept showing up—like a little spiritual nudge saying, "This is the path, Melissa." It represents the transformation and growth I want for myself, my business, and most importantly, for you. Because this symbol means so much to the heart of Naturally, MelissaMade, I’ve decided it’s time to officially bring the peacock into the Mindful Stitch Sanctuary, too. It’s our reminder that even if a project (or a day!) feels messy, there is beauty and a "new beginning" waiting in the next row. Let’s Chat! Does the peacock’s message of "New Beginnings" resonate with you right now? Or is there another animal/symbol that always seems to "show up" when you need it? Drop a comment below and let’s talk about the symbols that keep you inspired! 👇 #NaturallyMelissaMade #MindfulStitchSanctuary #PeacockPower #CreativeJourney #NewBeginnings

Wow! This is truly amazing.
Merry Christmas, Mindful Stitchers! 🎄✨
Wishing every one of you in the Mindful Stitch Sanctuary a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday season. I hope your day is filled with warmth, cozy threads, and plenty of "slow-stitching" moments. I’ve been a little quiet the last 48 hours—unfortunately, I’ve been down for the count and feeling quite sick for the past two days. Being under the weather right before the big day isn't ideal, but I'm listening to my body and taking it one step at a time. 🏃‍♀️ The Pre-Holiday Hustle I’m currently in "catch-up mode" this morning to get everything squared away before I can finally settle into the holiday magic. On my list for today: Grocery Shopping: Grabbing those last-minute ingredients for our holiday meals. Gift Runs: Picking up a few final surprises for loved ones. The Deep Clean: Getting the Sanctuary (and my home!) feeling fresh and ready for guests. 🕯️ Finding the Calm Once the to-do list is checked off, I am looking forward to hitting the "pause" button. My plan is to embrace the time to rest for recovery and truly sink into the spirit of the season with some tea and maybe a few festive stitches. I’d love to hear from you: What are your plans for today? Are you all finished with your holiday prep, or are you in the "hustle" with me? Whatever you are doing, I hope you find a moment of peace today. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas. Wishing you a quick recovery with a happy Christmas Celebration
I almost missed an opportunity
I just realized tonight that I won Hobbii's $111 11/11 giveaway! Thankfully, the gift card didn't expire until Dec 31st. I spent it tonight. Haha I could have gotten yarns that I use often for Amigurumi, but I decided to splurge the free gift on some yarns I may have otherwise never tried. What would you have gotten?

The right time; the prefect equipment
I struggle with the idea that I have to have the proper set, the right camera, perfect background and all the jazz so that I can keep up with the next guy. The thing is, I've always been unique. I want my customers, students and friends to see that I am just person, following a calling with a God given talent to create and make people smile. I don't need perfection to do that. As business, I often feel pressured to conform more to the ideals of others and that just not me. This is why I struggle to show up 100% authentic every day. Today, I choose to start shedding the belief that I should conform as a business and choose to just show up authentically as me.

That's a great decision. When it comes to business, it's always good to be dedicated, truthful and choose quality over quantity (Authenticity). Also Personally, being true to oneself makes it easier to move forward a d grow 💯
