Tesa/Ipa MCAS/Histamine Flare
I’m about 3 weeks in my tesa/ipa cycle and I’m questioning if this is a good fit. I already had some psoriasis on my scalp and now I’m in a full blown flare. My skin is itching again but only on my neck and mid back. And the past 2 days I’ve woken up feeling puffy. My fingers are swollen and I feel it in my face, arms and legs. I’ve also had super low energy and don’t want to get out of bed since taking this. Thoughts? Drop my dose or just go off of it all together? I haven’t really seen any major benefits to being on it. Maybe I just answered my own question lol but I have a whole other vial left! The $ 😩 I’m also on Tirz, KLOW and oral BPC and KPV. No reactions to those until I added tesa/ipa.

I don’t think Ellie has a schedule for titrating up, they just start you on the full dose, which causes bloating and reactions for many folks. Unfortunately, once your body has developed a histamine reaction to it, it’s unlikely it will go away even with a break. This is one reason so many suggest starting super low and titrating up slowly (with any pep, not just the secretagogues.). But I feel for you. $250/month for Tesa/ipa through them is brutal

@Danielle Hanfman that’s great. Just be cautious. Once the histamine reactions start, they can evolve. Just saw a post from someone who had their throat closing and had to go to ER. Glad the reduction is working. Just want to be sure my peptide sisters are safe.
Ear fullness and GLPs
I am one of the lucky ones that experiences ear fullness/clogging/popping on a very low dose of tirz (0.6mg 2x weekly = 1.2mg total weekly dose). Was considering switching to Reta to see if the ear issues resolved, but recently saw a post from a Reta user expressing the same symptoms. Has anyone had this experience on Tirz and had it go away on Reta? All research I have found indicates that this is a “rapid weight loss side effect” caused by losing fat around the ear canal, but this is not the case for me. Ive only lost about 12lbs in 3 months, so certainly not “rapid”.

@Wendy Lusardi thanks. I appreciate the input.

@Lee Wilson sorry you have it too, but thanks for sharing! Mine swaps ears too. It is usually my left, but sometimes, I’ll randomly get in the right and left will be fine, then it swaps back again.
Taurine and RHR/HRV on GLP
After listening to Tara’s Q&A and the mention of taurine as a possible support system for RHR/HRV, especially in the context of GLPs, I did some digging and found a research article on taurine’s general effect on HR. I’ve ordered some taurine from FullScript and will be giving it a try. Happy to report our findings in a month or two. If anyone has tried this, I’d love to know if it worked for you. Link to article: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39148075/ (Ps: thank you, to whoever submitted that question!)

@Shawna Fenwick oh man, this is fabulous news!!! Thank you!

@Maria Villaman that’s awesome. My day 1 was yesterday and already saw a few BPM decrease in my RHR and increase in HRV. Excited to see what a month of this does
Hair Skin Nails
Has anyone tried this that has also tried GHKCU? I’m curios how it compares and why you would choose one over the other. Also how many vials in a cycle?

Totally different mechanics. The HSN blend is all vitamins. GHK is a peptide. HSN also doesn’t need to be cycled since it is just vitamins. It’s no different than your daily vitamins you take by mouth. It’s just the inj form. If just be mindful of your levels and be sure you aren’t overdoing it depending on what the rest of your supplement stack looks like

@Sha Sha bloodwork and/or how you are feeling.
Stopping mitochondrial peptides
This may seem like an odd question but does anyone take the mitochondrial peptides like ss31, mots c, etc. and feel like they don’t have to go back on a cycle of them? I guess what I’m asking does it ever feel like it “cures” or “heals” the body permanently or are we just constantly spurring our bodies along?

We know that mitochondria live around 100 days. So if you “fixed” all of your mitochondria, then stopped, you would have about 100 days of lasting benefit. For many people, that will continue on if you have a healthy lifestyle. But for most of us, it will start to deriorate again as we live life and eat processed foods, drink the chemicals and microplastics in our water, are exposed to all the energy interference in the world, etc. This is why most biohackers like to do a mitochondrial clean up once or twice a year (or more if you know you are prone to damage).
