This may seem like an odd question but does anyone take the mitochondrial peptides like ss31, mots c, etc. and feel like they don’t have to go back on a cycle of them? I guess what I’m asking does it ever feel like it “cures” or “heals” the body permanently or are we just constantly spurring our bodies along?
You can for sure take breaks from them but it’s something that I would always considering cycling throughout the year bc just like everything else our mitochondria output declines as we age. So think of it like your hormones. You don’t just take hormone replacement therapy and then stop and your hormones now stay at an optimal level you have to replenish what your body is no longer able to do on it own. Hopefully that makes sense !
I just stated a new cycle of MOTS and AOD this past Monday. I have felt so exhausted starting mid day and I also get a weird brain fog headache. Has anyone else felt this. I’m not feeling energized in any way yet. Not sure if it’s just th adjustment period or my body just doesn’t like it. Anyone have a similar experience?
Hi @Tara West I've heard Reta can increase your heart rate at night but not sure if that's the reason especially seeing I'm on a low dose. I've also heard confilicting information about trying MOTS-C and SS-31 to lower HR and raise HRV. Do you have any ideas or opinions on this?
Hi Jill... I know we discussed this via email but want to respond for the sake of the group here. Reta can absolutely cause this even in small doses. SS-31 would be the best fit for this IMO.
If you aren't going to use your peptide within 30 days the best practice is to store them in the freezer away from light (even freezer door light). They can last for years.
