How to get customers using Google
If you are struggling with getting traffic to your websites, here's how I would do it with the most-used search engine on Earth. I. THE STRATEGY: With Google, you have 2 approaches: - Identify where the competition is and model them. - Find non-competitive keywords to target. These are high-intent keywords that your competitors overlooked. II. THE TACTICS: 1) The Glossary Method: - Search for all the terminologies in your niche. - Put them into a keyword research tool (I recommend Ahrefs. They have a paid and free tool). - The tool will show you how much traffic a keyword has (monthly search volume) as well as how competitive it is (for Ahrefs, they call it KD β keyword difficulty). - Now, search the competitive words to see what your competitors are doing. Or, you can target the non-competitive ones. *Note: Ahrefs is used for SEO (free Google traffic). For ads, use Google Keyword Planner. 2) Funnel Hacking using Google. - Search for your competitors on Google. - Copy their URLs and put those in a traffic-checking tool (I recommend The Hoth Seo ranking checker and SimilarWeb if you donβt have the paid version of Ahrefs). - Using The Hoth, we can see what keyword is getting traffic from our competitors. Sometimes, their site will rank for a keyword they didnβt mean to target. - Then, repeat the process in method #1 for high-search volume words. - Using SimilarWeb, we can see different traffic sources (not just Google) that our competitors use. We can also see information about their target audience. 3) The SEO Parasite Method: - When you search for your target keywords on Google, oftentimes, you will see these kind of sites pop up: + YouTube + Other social media platforms + Forums like Reddit and Quora + Generic sites that run Google AdSense (news sites, blogs,β¦) - That means Google trusts these sites and will rank their content rather than your competitorsβ websites. - Which means: + You can create YouTube videos. + You can make posts on those social media.
