@Christy Largent Congrats, Christy! Just 🩷'ed your store! Couldn't find the Follow link but maybe this is the same thing.
If I do some slower art pieces, is the Buy it Now option a viable way to charge?
I'm getting a little stressed with painting so fast for hours! So I slowed down on a few pieces to a half hour or so each.I'm guessing that I can do the buy it now option and charge more, right?. I haven't registered for ebay yet, I will at the end of the week. These faces are getting so detailed, and I hope that they sell. The last in the row is the 7 minute quickie.

Adorable and imaginative!
A Golden Opportunity
I am a novice to this entire process. What captured my attention, and my heart, was Corbellic's reasoning and rational on life! Once he began speaking, it was like, it's not even about art! As a seasoned mental health professional, l 'listen' moreso than visualize. His heartfelt observations and thoughts go far beyond art information. He is nuturing and empowering above all else. I don't miss too often in life. I can quite often determine how situations will end before they conclude. This is a fantastic life altering process for anyone who avails themselves of this opportunity. I am so thankful. Some videos l am viewing again and again in order to ensure that l am receiving the underlying wisdom contained in his statements. Thank you Corbellic. You are a wise and generous young man!

You're so inspiring, Valerie! I love that you repeatedly watch Corbellic's videos. His videos have helped me be less judgemental about my art and generally about life, which I consider a huge win that goes beyond art. Thank you for sharing your perspective!
First ever
First animals. I’ve always said I’m an abstract artist because I can’t/don’t draw. Whoo hoo!!

@Marlynn Rutenberg I love that! So fun to be learning new things, right?
DAY 4: Paint Your First Piece — 30 Minutes Max
Task:Paint something. Pick a simple subject: - A sunset - A flower - An animal silhouette - An abstract design - Copy something you saw in your Day 2 research Rules: - Set a timer for 30 minutes MAX - Don't overthink it - Don't restart - Sign it when you're done (yes, even if you think it's ugly) Post a photo of your finished painting in the Day 4 thread. Bonus: Post a side-by-side of your reference image and your painting. Why: Done is better than perfect. Your first painting is never about quality. It's about proving to yourself that you can do it. Every successful seller in this community started with a "bad" first painting. Proof Format: "DAY 4: Here's my first painting. [Photo]Subject: [what you painted]Time: [X] minutes Reference image: [optional photo]How I feel about it: [honest reaction]" - Example

My first painting...an acrylic on 8" x 8” mixed media paper. Subject: A typical scene in Hawaii Time: 5 minutes Reference image: None How I feel about it: It was fun to paint this! I loved how creamy acrylic paints are and how well they blend. And their vibrancy. This painting makes me happy. Next is my second painting. It’s an acrylic on a 6" x 6” stretched canvas. Subject: Same scene as first painting Time: 9 minutes Reference image: None How I feel about it: This one took longer because I also did the deep sides of the canvas. I like it as a quick painting and think it would sell at a craft fair pretty quickly, especially here in Hawaii because of the ocean theme. Next is my third painting. It’s an acrylic on 8 x 8” multipurpose paper. Subject: Still life Time: 9 minutes Reference image: None How I feel about it: Not crazy about this one but who knows, maybe someone else will. I have no idea what possessed me to paint an apple. Next is my teeny-tiny fourth painting (foreground). It’s an acrylic on 2.5 x 2.5” stretched canvas, which also has a magnetic backing. Subject: Same Hawaii scene Time: 13 minutes Reference image: None How I feel about it: It's adorable at this size. It took longer cuz every stroke is way more important on something so tiny (the other painting in the photo is a 6” x 6” canvas for comparison). These would sell like hotcakes at a craft fair so that’s why I painted it since I’ll be doing craft fairs for my jewelry soon. I like painting the same thing multiple times so I can see differences and make adjustments. I guess that's the kind of learner I am.

@Pamala Gifford I like the simplicity of it too, and the gold accents! Is this watercolor or acrylic?

Returning to art after years away. Just enjoying the process of learning from others as I develop my own style in watercolors, acrylic pouring, etc.
