Being the niche and living up to it!πŸ”₯
I am really hoping the Niche of 1 community is going to be an inspiring space for many current and future Skoolers in terms of setting up their communites and finding their niche. Because of that, I would like to give an update on my own process related to finding my niche. I shared a little bit about it a few weeks ago in a post and several comments, but what I didn't realise yet, is that I have lived up to being the niche for quite some time already. Long before I joined Skool. The community we are building is related to curiosity as an essential driver for continuous development and personal growth. So all the members are incredibly passionate about a life long learning, and living a life based on passion, and purpose. That in itself, in a sometimes very commercial and fast-paced world, can result in huge impact in the lives of all members of the community, but also the people within their networks. It's about creating momentum, to transform lives by learning how to do what feels right to you as an individual, instead of trying to do right in the eyes of others, and to meet expectations. The community is growing naturally, and it made me realise how grateful I am for having learned at a relatively early stage in life what it means to live a life based on curiosity. Because it's such an important part of ourselves, that it is important to be aware of it and to make use of it every single day. The focus of the community is to have Curiosity in Life, to Understand, Evolve, and Succeed. And what I have experienced so far, is that even a relatively generic approach to life can be your niche. Because the people that feel drawn to this, naturally navigate towards it. Finding my niche, even though it might not sound very niche, is exactly what makes it all feel aligned. Everything falls into place, naturally, together with everyone involved! This, of course, makes me wonder what your process of finding your niche looks like? How are you the niche and how are you living up to that?

@Heather Wilson It makes a lot of sense! You just know it's right when what you want to do and help with has something to do with what you are passionate and curious about.

It's a never ending process isn't it, constantly finetuning the niche and approach not only based on our own development, but also to the changing circumstances. Is it hard to be consistent because of doing a lot of things at the same time? Because we oftentimes, including myself want to do so much that we tend to forget how important it is to do what you really care about a lot, very very well. Everything else is often more of distraction instead of contributing to it. So true, if you know who you are, and who you want to be, being that person should not require too much effort! Exactly what we are going to do in the new challenge in the CLUES community these days @Beau Sterling πŸ˜‰
My niching down process
Hello. I created a community around 2 weeks ago and I'm in the process of niching down after hearing many times that my goals were vague and hard to understand. I initially had the goal of creating an educational hub where people would share knowledge and help eachother out with their online businesses. I got the feedback that "help eachother out" was to vague. I also got the feedback of giving what people want, not what I think they need. So I niched down to something I'm good at: researching and implementing tools. And I remade my about page to appeal to what I realized was the pain points of my previous clients. Since than, I got 2 organic joiners from the discovery page, witch is not much, but it's enough to assure that some progress was made. I am also more focused and inspired to create content that is aligned with my skills.

@Beau Sterling Totally agree, I really like your motto of "You are the niche!"

@Paulo Costa Getting there, this is definitely becoming and more specific. I always like to start with the purpose of WHY you are doing this. Because if the purpose is clear, the HOW and WHAT you are going to do can be automatically derived from it. Also, people are generally drawn by the purpose first! Thinking of Noobemy as an educational hub and knowledge base, what would be the WHY behind it? I had a go at defining the WHY, HOW, and WHAT based on everything you shared so far, hope it helps! -- WHY: "Help starting business owners simplify tech tool choices for starting their businesses, in order to keep focusing on the core business and to not be overwhelmed by all the required tech to choose, and implement." HOW: "Sharing +10 years of experience in IT, including research and implementation of tech tools, in a community for starting businnes owners to learn and exchange knowledge, and to simplify tech decisions together." WHAT: "An online educational hub where people with different backgrounds where people can exchange knowledge and help each other out, supported by a wealth of helpful resources to choose and implement the right tech tools for growth, including the guides to learn about it."
This tab is for brainstorming ideas for different niche businesses!
✍️ Write down any ideas you have for a niche you COULD focus on. This will help us bounce ideas off each other and think of things we may never have thought of. Be as specific and narrow as possible! βœ… If you want to check out validated business ideas you can go to ideabrowser.com (no affiliation) They have a new idea posted there every single day! Super helpful if you want inspiration for business ideas or just want to look at how they break down the different opportunities.

@Beau Sterling It's a good idea to niche down based on personal experiences, because that's what I can support with best! Important questions to ask myself, not just now but throughout the process as well, constantly developing and improving, specifying the added value I can offer. Sounds good hopping on a call, we'll be in touch about that! Curious about the service you mention, looking forward to learn more about it, happy to help with the development of that too!

@Beau Sterling This Sunday I am helping out family. The next we'll be having a big "barbie" here, but I am sure we can figure something out before that depending on the timezone. From what time to what time are you available on Sundays?
The Global Curiosity Catalyst πŸ’‘
That's what I would call myself being the niche. I am a very curious person and this has (finally) resulted in the decision to create my own path in life, rather than fully relying on everything that's out there already. After finishing university, I have travelled for a couple of years. It resulted in the strong desire to start all over again. With a fresh set of eyes, looking at the world and the people, including the environment I grew up in from a totally different perspective. That's why I founded CLUES (Curiosity in Life, to Understand, Evolve, and Succeed) to not only live by this principle, but to also help other individuals finding their path. The reasons to be, and to understand why we have certain thoughts, why we behave in the ways we do, and why we say the things we say. I am looking forward to learn from the process of everyone in this community finding their niche.

Time to Grow 🌱
The last few years have been a real struggle for me in my life and I've decided to make a change and focus on actively improving my situation. There are some things you just don't have control over, but you can always change your mental attitude and framework. It truly helps to PRACTICE gratitude for something no matter how small. Actively saying OUT LOUD what you're grateful for will cause a shift in your brain and set you on a better path. Keep growing friends 🫢πŸͺ΄

Respect @Beau Sterling for sharing, it's not always easy to open up about our personal struggles but it's exactly what makes us strong! Changing your attitude towards what's happening in life is all we can do, to take responsibility and decide what to do with or about it. Trying your best to improve, starting with ourselves.πŸ™

@Beau Sterling Saying it loud really does help a lot, either to yourself or to speak about it with others. And if it doesn't, write it down. Whenever I read something I wrote down some time ago I am like, hey this actually worked out quite well. The little wins are great motivational boosts!
