I am taking the call to use stash very seriously, and trying to use only yarns that are left over from other projects or that I only have one odd skein of. This has proven to be quite a challenge, but I think I've finally come up with a plan and I've managed to meet gauge (using US 6). Since most of my stash is Lace and Fingering, all color categories will involve at least 2 yarns and up to 4 held together. In all, my yarns will incorporate 5 different weights (Cobweb, Lace, Fingering, Sport, DK) and 10 different fiber types (Camel, Yak, Silk, Bamboo, Cotton, Linen, Merino, Superwash Merino, Nylon, Lyocell). In the end I decided to use one solid yarn for "D" that is very close to my "B"—I'm doing the cardigan and I hope it will bring all the craziness together in a cohesive manner. I'm prepared that this might be an epic disaster, but it's going to be a great learning experience and I'm excited to jump in and enjoy the process.
