My "All Your Love" attempt at using my looper
I've been trying to put the rhythm and lead parts together for this lesson using my loop pedal (Boss RC-5). I haven't been able to manage the transition between parts without a pause yet. As usual, it's all harder than I thought it would be, but I'm working on it. Here's where I am so far.

@Iain Brown Lol... Thanks Iain! No special quantization or timing adjustment done by the looper. It does have a built in drum track which is what I used.
‘All Your Love’ intro off The Beano Album
Ben’s lesson last week. I’ll miss this week due to family stuff, but I really liked the lesson, and that Mayall/Clapton album is the real deal. So here’s a rough first try to a drum track. Not a feedback submission because there’s not that much to it, but if anybody else is trying this, let me know how it’s going and if this sounds on the right track?

Sounds great to me @Iain Brown ; strong, tight rhythm, nailed the bends. I'd say that's far better take than a rough try!
Feedback. Improv. Change of tempo. Slow and melodic, then rock lead solo.
Dave Matthews Band Watchtower backing track. Slow tempo then changes up. Nice to play over. Trying for melodic ideas then more dynamism in the fast section. Any tips welcome. Trying to vary phrasing a bit. Not all eighth notes. Conscious of losing the time a little bit when trying fast picking….but maybe get away with it? Wow, you're on fire there Iain! Really liking the way you raised the energy level as the song progressed.

@Iain Brown What a great way to approach a solo, telling the story and expressing the emotions with your playing. I'd say you definitely are capturing those nuances.
Feedback on 12 bar blues, newish licks
I recently picked up three or four new blues licks, and in this short (1:24) composition, I tried to use them all, mostly focusing on one particular lick per verse. It doesn't quite sound like a blues solo to me, it sounds more like an exercise, but I can't seem to get it to sound more interesting, and frankly I've played it so many times that it's too boring to work on anymore. Looking for feedback on any of: 1) technique that stands out as needing help 2) how to improve the composition to make it less boring 3) some alternative approaches for bars 9-12 of each verse 4) anything that strikes you as notable

@Iain Brown Thanks Iain. Yeah the laid back vibe came out of the first lick, and I tried to pick up the pace over the next two verses, but I really felt like I settled into the shuffle rhythm a bit too much to get out of it. Still, I can feel good about a laid back feel anytime!

@Ben Johnsen Thanks Ben, that's exactly what I think I needed. I'm going to have some good fun working through those ideas. I'm quite sure I won't be bored in the next few days! Cheers, Rob
I Got You guitar part attempt
One of the local players around town was showing me how he played I Got You (I Feel Good) by James Brown in his band (no horn section). Essentially, he was doubling the bass line and also imitating the horns at times. Here's a minute of me attempting what he showed me. I think I'd call it a downtown shuffle... or what would you call it?
