Turning blanks
I ran out of blocks of wood...
Turning blanks
Practice!
I've been sidelined by some eye issues, but I have managed to get addicted to wood turning in the meantime. I'm still practicing, but I'm getting there!

What's one woodworking skill or technique that you're currently working on improving?
No matter your experience level, there’s always room to grow. What’s your focus lately?

Wood turning. I have made three bowls, one of them 40 years ago. I have two very nice lathes. I need to learn this.
Hello everyone from the Peach State
New member here. Recently retired after 47 years in law enforcement and have too much time on my hands. I started watching woodworking videos several months ago and decided to apply to this group because Sawinery does not settle for second best or “close”. I was raised if I was going to do something to do it right or not at all. Looking forward to learn a lot from all of you.

@Steve Puster we lived on Whitehead Circle near Lynnwood elementary school. The road doesn't exist anymore and Lynnwood became the Pearl Stephens center. But I have some great memories of falling out of trees back in the 60s.
A double Christmas gift
My daughter asked if we could make her hexagonal bookshelves for Christmas. We worked together while she was home over the holidays. Her gift was the shelves and spending time with the old man. My gift was spending time with my daughter and maybe passing on some of my love for woodworking.
