My brain. There are days when it just doesn’t work very accurate. We all know the cliche’ “measure twice cut once.” Well, my measurements were not the same using the same edges.WTH? This time I blamed it on the tape measure!

Hi Michael. I just joined a few months back and Rich and the others have taught me a lot. My advice as a newbie…….patience………and listen to Rich. Good luck on your projects. Also, do your research before investing in your tools. There are plenty of of mid-range tools out there that will do the same job as a Dewalt, Milwaukee, or Festool without the higher cost.

Misplacing things. I’ll get a few screws for a project and lay them on the bench. Turn around for my drill :(don’t have to walk anywhere, just turn around) and my screws were gone! WTH? I found them where I left them………..on the other counter when I put the screw box away. GEEEEESH!,

As a beginner, I am making sure how my table saw and miter saw operate. Next will be the router, but my main project is learning various joinery techniques.
Announcing the Sawinery Podcsat
Different people like to get their information in different ways. I guess that's why there are so many social media platforms and other ways of putting your opinion out there. Well, we're trying to make the best of them all; and to do so, we've started a podcast. To be honest with you, at this time we have a grand total of one podcast show (or whatever they call them) up. For the time being, we're taking the audio track from some of our long-form videos and using that for the podcast. That works out great, when I'm talking about things like maximizing your workshop space, where you don't really need to see what I'm talking about. In the future, the podcasts will be recorded with specific themes which are appropriate to that format. If you're wanting to catch our first podcast, you can listen to it at the following outlets. I'll have to say, it sounds pretty good. But I won't break my arm yet, patting myself on the back. Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/3FWTD4bpdLsfhlC662ZsTa Amazon Music https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/64ba80bb-8f23-4e03-a663-43393f00762f Player FM https://player.fm/series/3640275 Podbean https://www.podbean.com/user-YwoEGVsxYugY In addition to these links, you can find it on Spotify, by searching for "The Sawinery Podcast." Enjoy!

Rich, I just finished listening to your podcast and it was great! I could actually visualize moving my tools around as you spoke. Great job and look forward to the next ones.
