Want To Get Better At Website Design? Do this daily.💻
If you want to improve at website design faster than 90% of people, stop chasing new tools and start doing this one habit every single day. It takes 15–30 minutes. No excuses. Step 1: Study ONE good website (not 10) Pick a site you know converts: - A SaaS homepage - A local service business ranking #1 on Google - A landing page running paid ads Don’t admire it. Break it down. Ask: - What’s the main promise above the fold? - Where does my eye go first? - What makes this feel “clean” or “trustworthy”? Step 2: Screenshot & steal structure (not style) Open your phone and screenshot: - Hero section - One service section - One CTA section You’re not copying colors or fonts — you’re copying layout and logic. Good design is mostly good decisions, not creativity. Step 3: Rebuild ONE section from memory Open Elementor / Figma / whatever you use. Rebuild one section only: - Same spacing - Same hierarchy - Same flow This trains your eye faster than watching tutorials. Step 4: Ask “why” for every choice Why is the headline short? Why is the button there? Why is there white space here? Design skill = understanding why something works, not just how to build it. Step 5: Share or save your work Either: - Post it in this community for feedback, or - Save it in a “Swipe File” folder Both compound over time. The truth most designers don’t like: You don’t get better by: ❌ Watching endless YouTube videos ❌ Collecting UI kits ❌ Waiting until you feel “ready” You get better by daily reps. Messy reps beat perfect plans. 👇 Your turn Reply below: What part of web design do you struggle with most right now? I’ll use your answers to decide what we break down next in the community. Consistency beats talent. Every time. 💪

What I'd Do If I Had To Start From Scratch In Property Maintenance 🛠️
If I was starting from zero today in property maintenance — no reputation, no referrals, no “mate of a mate” work — here’s exactly what I’d do. No theory. No guru nonsense. Just what actually works in 2026. 1️⃣ I’d pick ONE trade + ONE area Not “property maintenance”.Not “general handyman”. Something specific like: - Emergency plumber in Leeds - Domestic electrician in Manchester - Roofing repairs in Birmingham Specific wins. General disappears. Google rewards clarity, not range. 2️⃣ I’d set up Google Business Profile properly (Day 1) This is non-negotiable. - Correct primary category - Service areas filled in - 10+ real photos (jobs, van, tools, face) - Short, keyword-based description This alone can get calls before you even think about social media. Most trades skip this → massive mistake. 3️⃣ I’d start YouTube before I felt “ready” Not fancy videos. Not editing marathons. Simple stuff like: - “Common causes of [problem] and how to spot them” - “How much does [job] really cost in 2026?” - “Mistakes homeowners make when hiring a [trade]” YouTube = Google with a face. One decent video can bring leads for years. 4️⃣ I’d post short-form daily (even if it’s boring) TikTok / Shorts / Reels. Nothing clever: - Before & afters - Jobs in progress - Explaining what you’re fixing - Answering common questions The goal isn’t virality. The goal is being visible when someone checks you out. People don’t hire ghosts. 5️⃣ I’d build proof obsessively Screenshots. Reviews. Messages. Finished jobs. Not polished testimonials — real fucking proof!! Even: “Customer messaged me this morning after finding us on Google” That’s gold. 6️⃣ I’d ignore ads until I had momentum Ads don’t fix weak foundations. Organic first: - Google - YouTube - Short-form content Then scale. 7️⃣ I’d join a community instead of guessing Doing this alone is slow and expensive. Seeing what’s working for other trades saves: - Time - Money - Stupid mistakes
I owe you an update (and a big bonus)
Hey everyone 👋🏽 quick, honest update. I want to start by saying thank you to the 12 of you who’ve joined The Maintenance Marketers recently, I'm truly grateful!! I haven’t been as active as I should’ve been, and that’s on me. The reason is simple: I’ve been tied up finishing a few client projects. The upside? Those projects gave me a ton of real-world wins, data, and systems that I’m now bringing into this community. Here’s the other thing (full transparency):I’m going in for a hernia operation tomorrow, which means I’ll be laid up for a week or two. 🛌 Instead of wasting that time scrolling, I’m going full hog on this Skool. 🐗 What that means for you: - Daily posts with practical marketing breakdowns (no fluff) - YouTube + content strategies specifically for property maintenance pros - Real examples of what actually works for getting visibility, leads, and authority online - Me being active, answering questions, and reviewing things properly This community is officially moving from quiet → useful. ✅ 🎁 Bonus for Early Members (This Is Genuinely Solid) Because you’re here early, I want to give you something I personally think is extremely valuable. I’ve got you free access to a $12K bonus training bundle from another Skool community that shows, step-by-step, how to: - Create a YouTube channel the right way - Publish videos that rank on page 1 of Google - Grow your brand visibility - Get traffic fast (even with a small channel) This is especially powerful if you: - Want long-term visibility (not just social posts that disappear) - Serve a local or niche audience (like trades & maintenance) - Want Google working for you while you’re on the tools or off the clock You can grab it 100% Free simply by commenting "YouTube" below👇🏼and I'll send you the link right away. No catch — I just want you equipped with the best stuff while we build this together. What to do next... To help me tailor what I post next, drop a comment below and tell me:
