Hello
Hey everyone, I’m 48 years old and a firefighter for the past 20 years. I’m really glad to be part of this group of Catholic men who want to grow stronger in faith, fitness, and discipline. Through my career, I’ve learned how important it is to stay physically and mentally tough, but I also know that true strength comes from our prayer life and relationship with God. I’m looking forward to growing alongside you all—supporting each other as we push ourselves to be better men, husbands, fathers, and brothers in Christ. Let’s keep each other accountable and inspired on this journey. Excited to get started!

Just trust God
Today I coached my student and he did amazing I couldn’t be prouder. After that, I decided to challenge myself by stepping into no-gi. I was nervous, but I prayed before the match and came out with a win by submission. This reminded me that growth comes from facing fear with faith. I still have a long way to go, in BJJ and in life, but I’ll keep training, keep learning, and keep staying grounded in God’s word. Keep pushing forward, stay strong, and God bless everyone be safe out there.”

Best Snacks For Fast-Break
Alright bro, lemme hit you with some knowledge. You've been fasting. You’re hungry. You don’t wanna blow it before your post fast-break meal. So, what’s the game plan?Think nuts. Almonds or walnuts. Easy to grab. Good fats, protein, no junk. Keeps ya sane till the feast.Protein bars. But not those loaded with sugar, bro. Look for high protein and low carb.Greek yogurt, plain. Add some berries if you want a kick. Keeps those calories low and gives you the probiotics.Handful of baby carrots. Yeah yeah, veggies ain't glamorous, but they do the trick.Stay away from sugary stuff or starchy junk. Fills you up like hot air. Not a great start to your feast.Body is a temple, right? 1 Cor 6:19. Let's keep it holy – even snack-wise.Hope this helps. God bless

The Humbling Moment I Couldn’t Do a Single Pull-Up
I walked into the gym, full of swagger. Thought I was the man. I’d been to CrossFit classes, hit the weights casually... figured a pull-up was just another feather in my cap.Wrong.I grabbed the bar and pulled with all the strength I could muster. Nothing. Not even an inch.I felt like crap. Humiliated, exposed, weak. I was that kid again, failing to keep up, afraid of what everyone else was thinking. That bar did more than knock me down... it woke me up.I realized I'd been coasting on pride, not building real strength.Maybe you’ve had these moments too. When reality checks your ego. When you see the real gap between who you are and who you think you are.Bro, that gap is good. It’s where you get to step up or shy away.Every guy has a “can’t do a pull-up” moment. The question is — what do you do after? You show up anyway.Start with what you can do. Set small goals, push through with persistence. Cuz strength isn’t just about muscles; it’s about character.Remember, St. Paul gets it, “I can do all things through Him who
