Need Help with 1940 Census
My grandfather name is John O Bible and I have been trying to figure this out for quite sometime, my mom is the only one of his 11 children still living and she does not remember him being married but twice, however on family search it has an Alice Hill married to John O Bible, after researching the marriage certifacate I can see where they just possible found a John Bible and attached it. However after looking at the census that was done it 1940 it says she married a John S Bible which I have also found in my family tree and it better matches the age and information provided. Is there a better way to prove which John Bible it belongs to because I have had several people reach out to me telling me that Alice needs to be added to my tree, and i just politely tell them that until I can get more information to prove which person that she belongs to I am not adding her to my grandfathers tree. I have attached the copy of marriage license and a copy of the census that I have found any help would be greatful.

FamilySearch is good but not always correct as I have found out. It relies on other people's info just like Ancestry and My Heritage and their information can be flawed.
Calligraphic Conundrums.
Sorry about the photo quality but I'm trying to fit the first initial into names in my tree. No luck so far, any ideas on the letter please?

Current Projects
It would be interesting to learn what kind of projects members here are working on. Currently I am trying to untangle a family line through the 1600 - 1700's, back when John fathered John, who fathered John, who fathered John etc., and then just to make life even more difficult, the church decided to write all the records in Latin !!

@Ceri Logan I actually like WikiTree because everything has to be sourced, it's almost certain to be correct. But I agree it is cumbersome and slow.

Not far off finishing this one now. A few more paracetamol and it'll be done !!
Remembering Aberfan
Many people won't know about Aberfan so I thought I'd talk about it in a special one off post to highlight one of the worst mining disasters Wales has ever seen... The Aberfan Disaster was the catastrophic collapse of a colliery spoil tip on 21 October 1966. The tip had been created on a mountain slope above the Welsh village of Aberfan, near Merthyr Tydfil, and overlaid a natural spring. Heavy rain led to a build-up of water within the tip which caused it to suddenly slide downhill as a slurry, killing 116 children and 28 adults as it engulfed Pantglas Junior School and a row of houses. The tip was the responsibility of the National Coal Board (NCB), and the subsequent inquiry placed the blame for the disaster on the organisation and nine named employees. There were seven spoil tips on the hills above Aberfan; Tip 7—the one that slipped onto the village—was started in 1958 and, at the time of the disaster, was 111 feet (34 m) high. In contravention of the NCB's procedures, the tip was partly based on ground from which springs emerged. After three weeks of heavy rain the tip was saturated and approximately 140,000 cubic yards (110,000 m3) of spoil slipped down the side of the hill and onto the Pantglas area of the village. The main building hit was the local junior school, where lessons had just begun; 5 teachers and 109 children were killed. An official inquiry was chaired by Lord Justice Edmund Davies. The report placed the blame squarely on the NCB. The organisation's chairman, Lord Robens, was criticised for making misleading statements and for not providing clarity as to the NCB's knowledge of the presence of water springs on the hillside. Neither the NCB nor any of its employees were prosecuted and the organisation was not fined.

I have seen about that before but was too young to remember it. Many of my family are from the Merthyr Tydfil area, and you may have just put an idea for my next project into place.
