Welcome to our new members! ✨
It's been 24 days already since our last 'welcome post' and we've had quite a few new members joining us. So please join me in welcoming our new members @Raymond Vromans, @Lisanne van den Berg, @Victoria Triep, @Coty Monique Jeronimus, @Melanie Elmquist, @Alexandra Horvath, @Taffy Chirunda, @Fabiana Mello, @Letícia Lenzi Bressiani, @Milán Páczai, @Darcy Roehling, @Andrea Fernández, @Rory Bakke, @Meire Ferreira, @Jenny Richmond-Bravo, @Ece Öztan, @Malu Duque, @Marcel Frey, @Telmo Becerra, @Ines Mokdadi, @Birgit Ruttkowski, @Abigail Mookien, @Sarah Glenister, @Titus Mars, @Sue Mitchell, @Christoph Wenna, @Emil Jacobsen, @Tamas Hovanyecz, @Johannes Willms Besides telling us a bit about who you are and what you do, and since we're just a few days before the year-end festivities, I thought it would be fun to share what will be on your table over the Holidays and where that table is located? And whether it's the same dish every year ;-) For me, my dad will make a lamb roast this year and I'm celebrating in Bern, Switzerland, where I was born and raised. And our meal varies each year.
Welcome to our new members! ✨

Happy New Year to all! Dear @Sibylle Breiner , @Nadene Canning and @Sarah Santacroce, thank you for putting the call together. I'm planning to be there, but I will be 30 minutes late. I hope I won't interrupt the flow when I land in Zoom 🙂
Workplace Challenge 3 and the IDGs
In organizations with a toxic culture, there’s often significant pressure to "greenwash" responses. What if we use the IDGs to facilitate open dialogue—and, more importantly, active listening. This community aspires to be curious rather than judgmental, and we can play a vital role in organizations by spending time on the “work floor”, observing and engaging with employees. Additionally, addressing workplace culture during management staff meetings could help foster meaningful change. This would start a process to bring the IDGs into action at work. Anyone want to joint draft a proposal that we could use to go out to our networks to start this conversation? Thinking together on Challenge 3

I would love to participate in co-creating a draft proposal. I'm not sure how to work on it, however, I'm certain that addressing the question will bring out great ideas.
Challenges Session - What happened this week in our community
Here's a short video recap (2m32s) of the week including highlights are our community Challenges call, new IDG Measurement members who joined our community and the Ecologies follow up. 30 community members joined our Challenges call from 13 countries - we are better together 🌏 In our 60minute session we worked together in small groups to get to know each other a little better and share around our challenges and our needs. The recording is not that lively because a lot of the work was done in breakout circles, individual reflection time and learnings in the chat. Here is the synthesis of our first community call on the IDG challenges call as promised: 🌟 Bringing the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) to Life in Work and Beyond 🌟 As we reflect on our recent discussions, the path to integrating IDGs into personal, leadership, and organizational development emerges with inspiring possibilities—and pressing challenges. Here's what we uncovered and what we need to take the next steps: Challenge 1: Applying the IDGs Framework to Personal Development What’s Needed: - Role models, role modeling and relatable success stories to inspire others. - Experiential learning opportunities like facilitated dialogue and reflection. - Deeper connection to IDG dimensions, aligning values with actions. - Practices like silence and deep listening to foster inner growth. Key Insight: Creating environments for reflection and experimentation is critical. The journey isn’t finite—it’s an infinite practice of embodying the IDGs. Challenge 2: Adoption and Engagement and Buy-In of the IDG Framework What’s Needed: - Compelling narratives that connect inner development to tangible business outcomes like sustainability and long-term success. - Tools and strategies to engage skeptical audiences and resistant cultures. - Success stories and proof points tailored to different markets. - Practical integration into existing programs to ease adoption. Key Insight: Bridging inner work with external outcomes requires aligning IDGs with current priorities and using relatable, real-world examples to build confidence and trust.

Thank you @Nadene Canning for the summary and the video. It seems that all three groups pointed out a need for examples/ models to understand how IDGs can be put into practice.

@Marvin Maneve I think that the session we had about measuring IDGs case study is a good start. So, I think any idea or model is a good start.
Caux IDG Forum Co creation - Survey
The Caux Inner Development Goals Forum 2025, hosted by the Inner Development Goals in collaboration with Initiatives of Change (IofC), a global movement for trust, ethical leadership, and reconciliation. We want to curate an experience driven by the questions and experience we are holding in our ecosystem, and for that we invite you to contribute by completing a quick survey and be part of a movement driving meaningful change. Held in the breathtaking setting of Caux, Switzerland, for the 2nd year from July 28-31, 2025 this annual gathering unites individuals, organizations, and communities from around the globe to tackle pressing global challenges. Together, we’ll focus on personal and collective transformation as the cornerstone for systemic change. The first IDG Caux Forum took place in July 2024 and perhaps you were there, or wanted to be, or never heard about it until now, in all cases we’re excited for you to be interested because for our 2nd edition in 2025 and this year we want to work with our collective wisdom and get you involved. At the initial Forum, we had four tracks: A More Climate-friendly Environment, Conscious Food Systems, Peace, Love, and Consciousness, and IDG Acceleration through partnerships. 220 people from all 5 continents attended and came away with deep learning and connection to their purpose, their communities, and our planet. Following the success in 2024, the 2025 edition promises another inspiring event: a space for reflection, skill-building, and networking.
