IDG Practitioners in Australia?
Hello dear IDG Community I come from a tiny remote area mountain community in Tasmania (Australia) embarking on preparedness for rapid change. This is taking us into all sorts of spaces such as fire ecology, food and water security, land management etc, but we are increasingly aware that our socio-emotional integrity and resilience is central to all else we do. As funding opportunities for preparedness are increasingly available to rural communities like ours, we are on the look out for in-situ workshop facilitators who could support us in growing our social cohesion in the light of change. Iโ€™m wondering if IDG practitioners exist in Australia who could help us with our project life through inner development training. Iโ€™d be so grateful for any direction (I donโ€™t have LinkedIn, so websites, emails, phone numbers would be better contact details for me - or Iโ€™m happy to share my contact details for referrals). Warmest, liana

@Liana Guegan sounds like a great way to integrate IDGs into your rural community. You might go and take a look at the map. Here you can find people close to you and you can reach out to them directly via the chat function. Let me know if you need any technical help.

@Heidi Robins @Liana Guegan, It's great that the two of you are getting together to see how you can move forward. If you need any support with the IDGs or how to incorporate them into your work, please let me know. I'm happy to help with ideas. If you prefer email, please use [email protected] to reach out to me.
๐ŸŒฟ Bringing IDGs to Life โ€” Start Where Your Clients Are
Hi to everyone exploring the space where inner work meets impact, many of us feel the deep potential of the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) โ€” not just as a framework, but as a path to more conscious leadership and meaningful change. But we also know it can feel challenging to talk about IDGs with clients, especially when theyโ€™re under pressure, facing real-world problems, and not necessarily asking for "inner development." The truth? One of the biggest hurdles is simply this: So when it comes to bringing the IDGs into real conversations with clients or colleagues, one big question often stops us in our tracks: This is exactly the question we need to lean into โ€” with empathy, clarity, and courage. โœจAs Sarah stated in her latest post, we are preparing a ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Ÿ‘๐ซ๐ where weโ€™ll explore how to speak about the IDGs in ways that truly connect to the clientโ€™s world โ€” especially their most pressing pain points. But we want to build this with you โ€“ not for you. ๐Ÿ’ฌ ๐’๐จ ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐žโ€™๐ฌ ๐š ๐ ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฅ๐ž ๐ข๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐จ ๐ซ๐ž๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ: - What are some real challenges youโ€™ve heard from clients (or your organization)? - Where do you sense the IDGs could offer support or shift something meaningful? You donโ€™t need the โ€œperfectโ€ answer. Just your honest experience or intuition. We grow this community by showing up. Bit by bit. Word by word. Letโ€™s gently break the silence here โ€” and begin building something meaningful together. I am going to start the conversation with my first thoughts in the comments. With care, Sibylle

I recently explored this question with my (part-time) students as part of a research project and asked them to share their views from an employeeโ€™s perspective. One pain point that came up again and again was low engagement โ€” often leading to quiet quitting. What surprised me was the reason many of them gave: They felt that employee surveys are conducted, but no visible action follows. As a result, people feel unheard โ€” and eventually, they stop caring. One paint point that could be addressed with IDGs .....

Rerooting in Switzerland
Hello community, I am happy to be joining here thanks to @Nadene Canning share. Been taking in this space and all the resources here for a few weeks and today feels like the right time to introduce myself as I reroot again in Switzerland after a few years away - deeply linked to my own inner development and the skill building and practicing to support ours on their journey. This image comes as a reflection of my inner state to both pray for my own work environment but to foster an environment that is life affirming for others in their own way, respecting the difference between us. I look forward to meeting you in person if you are in/around Geneva and/or online for a walk and talk https://zcal.co/annateresakopacz/30min More about my work and projects: https://www.linkedin.com/in/annakopacz/ My current professional home (professional collective) https://www.greaterthan.works/ Deep heart work on transforming our communication strategies : https://withintention.studio/beicommunication

๐ŸŒฑ Bringing the IDGs to Life โ€“ One Card at a Time ๐ŸŒฑ
One of the simplest and most playful ways to introduce the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) in organizations and teams is through IDG cards. They open space for dialogue, reflection, and discovery โ€“ and make the abstract instantly tangible. In our ID@work community, we have inspiring members who have developed their own unique IDG card sets! Each set offers a different gateway into meaningful conversations and collective learning. Together, weโ€™ve already explored two brilliant examples. Just follow the link to get to the recordings: ๐ŸŸข Saraโ€™s session โ€“ introducing her powerful Inner Development Kit - Link to recording in this post. ๐ŸŸฃ Marielle van Hemertโ€™s session โ€“ connecting IDGs with the SDGs using the Inner Alchemy Card Deck - Link to recording in this post. You can also jump straight to our resource classroom and find both recordings here. โœจ Whether in workshops, team check-ins, or leadership development โ€“ these cards help us reflect, connect, and grow. ๐Ÿ”ธ Your turn:๐Ÿ‘‰ Please share in the comments a moment when you showed up, even though it was uncomfortable. In my former role as Project Manager of a large global IT project, my team and I encountered a major technical challengeโ€”one that had never been solved before. We had high-paid external consultants on board, who proposed a traditional solution. But their approach created serious problems for the business. Instead of accepting their proposal, my team and I developed our own technical solutionโ€”tailored to the real needs of the organization. The experts strongly opposed it, and it felt risky to go against their advice. But I gathered all my courage, stepped up, and presented our alternative to top management. It was uncomfortable. But it mattered. I asked them to trust usโ€”and they did. And yes, we did it. Together we solved the 'unsolvable'. What seemed impossible a few weeks earlier became a real success - thanks to team spirit, trust and the courage to show up. After all these years, I still feel proud when I think back, and this situation helps me as a positive experience and reference point when I am faced with challenging situations. The feeling is: I did it then, I can do it now.
