Damn… I just landed the wrong type of client.
So long story short. I started outreaching 3 days ago to find email copywriting clients… The keyword being “copywriting”. Yesterday, I was extremely jovial because I landed a client! Now I've been struck with the cold realisation that the work my new client wants me to do isn't even “copywriting” It's more graphic design. The client is an ecom client, they want me to build out email flows for their physical products. This might not be the client for me. Or maybe im just tripping. Honestly, I dont know if I should just do the email marketing stuff on the backend. But if I'm keeping it all the way real… I'm not tryna do all of that. I wanna write COPY not make fancy graphic designs on emails. Before I go back to outreach, I'll ask the client if I can do the following things instead: Write their YouTube scripts Write copy for the ecom store Write copy for their product descriptions Write copy for their social media post Let's see how that goes, hopefully, I can take on one of these other roles instead. PS when I go back to outreach I'll only reach out to people selling info products from now on, * * *Razor (yourfavouritecopywriter)* * *
