šŸ‘‹ Hi, I’m Rayner!
Hi my name is Rayner. I live in Charlotte, NC and I plan on making $10,000 per month dispatching trucks. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1. Ā Learn how to start a succesful Dispatching business from scratch. 2. Ā Get into the knowledge of tools and resources to build good relationships with Brokers and Carriers. 3. Learn how to find, book and secure great loads for my future carriers. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1. Ā Play soccer 2. Going to the beach with the family 3. Ā Travel to unknown places

@A J That’s right but there’s enough for everyone
Hello! One of the "Good Guys".
Hello Everyone! My name is John. I am from Lago Vista, TX, which is about 45 minutes from Austin, Texas. I am planning on making $10,000 a month or more as a dispatcher. I am a medically retired driver who never ever thought he would join the OTHER side of the trucking business. One of my BIG goals with this is to become one of the good guys, the good dispatchers that strive hard to never just leave drivers hanging out there. I can remember times I even yelled and argued with dispatchers. I want to be one of the GOOD dispatchers on the driver's side, helping drivers out there working hard! I am making this my mission to make this work for all of them because I know what it's like. My job, My MISSION, will be to take care of drivers! I know what its like to be in another state and thinking, "Oh they are having it so easy sitting in their cushy office while we are out here busting our tail!". "They are commanding from their cushy offices.". All the while I was going through it the same as other drivers out there on the roads. Now I get to finally see the other side of the coin for a change. I started out as a flatbed driver. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1. Ā Learn and apply ways of getting carriers 2. Ā Learn how to book loads and negotiate with brokers 3. Learn how to build my dispatching service For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1. Ā Spend time with family 2. Cinema and Movies 3. Write "Aspiring Author."

@John Sheridan Hi John, I have been in the Driver side too but just Expediting with a Sprinter Van over the country. Drivers needs to be treated like human beings, that’s why I’m motivated of joining this side to be better for the Drivers and also for myself. Welcome and I see you over here

@John Sheridan you’re totally right
Question
Would it be bad move to start dispatching to cargo vans and box trucks first rather than semi trucks ? New to the industry and have a family member that runs a cargo van and was going to start out dispatching for them. Most the post I see are about the bigger trucks. Would love some insight. Thank you

I’m new to the Dispatching game, but I have been hauling loads on my Sprinter Van for a while. I think there’s money out there for Box Trucks and Sprinter Vans because I see every week a new company looking for drivers on Indeed for this specific niche. The thing is to understand pretty well the game and know where to find these kind of short loads of 1 to 3 pallets for a Sprinter and up to 12 for a 26ft Box truck, also gain knowledge on the dimensions and time sensitive shipments
