@Carlos Molina This is the right answer - periligamentous ganglion cyst . A bursitis wouldn't be encysted/encapsulated with such defined margins. Can be drained by ultrasound but typically asymptomatic so leave alone if possible to avoid injury to the ligament. Finger trauma
Injury to finger a few weeks ago. Apparent enhancement (although no pre-contrast sequence) deep to extensor tendon and a little deep to flexor tendon, but T2 signal is not bright and T1 signal is isointense. No tendon or ligament tear. Thinking post-traumatic fluid like hematoma or complex tenosynovitis but why apparent diffuse enhancement? Would getting a fat-sat pre-contrast sequence be useful to look for intrinsic T1 hyperintensity?

why is contrast in the FCU tendon sheath not a good sign? it implies disruption of the joint capsule?
