How My Life is Richer Because I Question Everything
The following is a chapter from my book, Life: It's a Trip. ----------------- Slaughter Your Sacred Cows As the bus hummed along the freeway, I was enjoying the chit-chat among the passengers. I looked out at the traffic coming from the opposite direction. Somewhere along the way, I fell asleep and when I came to, I awakened to the most beautiful scenery I have yet to experience. As I looked out of the window, there was a huge pink wall outside, close enough to reach out and touch, or so it seemed. I looked up front and breathtaking is all I can say to describe it. I found out later that this particular stretch of Interstate 15 in the northwest corner of the state of Arizona has been voted the most beautiful stretch of highway in the United States and Canada by the professional truck drivers, people who spend most of their lives on the highways and byways of America. Later on, I wrote a blog post, musing about the fact that so often we go through life with our eyes closed to all that is around us, when all we have to do is open our eyes to see it all. This is not only true literally, it is also true metaphorically. We live in an abundant world, yet we fail to see all that there is, because we go through life with blinders on. Whether the blinders are those of science, religion, culture or tradition, it is all the same. They prevent us from seeing all there is. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to meet people who have helped me see things in a different light than I was used to and opened up a whole new world for me over and over again and I am extremely grateful for this. I credit my dad with encouraging me to see things differently by constantly showing me things differently and challenging me to find out the truth for myself before accepting someone else’s version of the truth. When I first came to the United States, I had preconceived notions about the people in the West. Those illusions were shattered as I met more and more people.

@Adelina Rosa The thing about ”manifesting” that most people do not understand or realize is that we are manifesting 24/7. It's just that most of the time we are manifesting unconsciously or unintentionally.

#FriendFriday 🎉
It's time to celebrate each other! In the COMMENTS BELOW, please share a Skool community you think is doing really great things. It can be one you've participated in yourself or one that you've heard from others is amazing. Please do the following: 1. Tell us the name of the community and link to it (affiliates allowed). 2. Tag the person who owns the community. If they are not in the CLASSIFIEDS, then please send them a DM and let them know that you mentioned them here. I promise you will make their day! 3. Describe why the group is so wonderful and how it has helped you. Please DO NOT just copy and paste the About page! 4. Comment on each others comments and scroll through the referrals to see if there's an amazing group you are missing out on! Thanks so much for supporting each other and this community! Please note that any #FriendFriday mentions that are created as new posts will be deleted. Thanks! Please DO NOT promote yourself. 🤨. The entire community is for promoting yourself. This post is for celebrating someone else. 😊

I have been learning what I wish I knew and understood BEFORE I published my book 10 years ago in KDP Publishing by Krista Brea. Using what I learned there, I have earned more in royalties in the last 90 days that I did in all of 2024 and 2025 combined. I am also relaunching my book with a new cover and a QR code for the review page inside the book, as well as a QR coode to my Bio Link. She is offering a great deal on her premium tier until Sunday August 16th, so go grab it. (1/2 off or a BIG bonus if you go annual) PS: I didn't tag Krista, because if someone clicks on her name and then goes to her community, Skool gets 30%
What's the Indian dish you wish you could make yourself?
What's the Indian dish you wish you could make yourself? The one you always order. The one you've watched someone else cook and thought, I could never do that. I make Indian cooking simple, using just 7 everyday spices and easy to follow recipes. You probably can make it. Tell me the dish in the comments your favourite dish.

@Varsha Mistry The way I describe it to my American friends is it's a pot roast with spicy gravy but no veggies. It's usually garnished with ginger strips and sliced chilies and eaten with fresh naan

@Varsha Mistry It's usually big chunks of mammal meat, cooked slowly with a blend of spices. then a little bit of flour is added towards the end to thicken the gravy
New Masterclass on the Calendar!
@Des Dreckett is at it again with an experiment he is conducting in real time! This is what Des has to say: I'm running a live experiment out in the open, and I want to walk you through it. My community, YouTube For Skool, is priced at $5 a year. That's not an accident, and it's not me being cheap. It's a deliberate tripwire. Free member counts don't tell you much; people join free things out of curiosity all the time. A near-free paid action tells you something completely different. Anyone willing to hand over even a small amount of money is a different kind of prospect to someone who just clicked join. That's the pricing side of the experiment. The other side is Growth Boost. Skool's Growth Boost feature fronts ad spend and pushes Discovery for your community, but it takes a 30 per cent commission on anything it attributes. At $5 a year, that commission is tiny, so this phase isn't really about Growth Boost pushing hard for me yet. It's proof of concept. I'm watching what Discovery does on its own versus what Growth Boost actually contributes, and I'll only move to a recurring $5 to $9 a month price once I've got 50 paying members and real data on willingness to pay, not before. On Thursday 13th August at 8 pm London (3 pm New York, 12 pm Los Angeles), I'm running a live session walking through the whole thing. If you've had questions about how Growth Boost actually works, this isn't just an explanation; you'll see the experiment running in real time, with real numbers, while it's still unfolding. If you're building a paid Skool community yourself, or wondering whether your pricing is set up right for Growth Boost to actually work for you, come watch it live.
