Italian silk shirt
No pictures because i don't want to wake the missus (its 1am here) but i had a bit of a success in a charity shop in exmouth... a pure silk shirt in midnight blue, for £4 . I also got an M&S Suit brand new with tags for £14..its artificial fibres the sort the usuaslly retails for about 80 quid but it'll do until i get myself a better one (I'm gertting a MTM but not until ive finished losing weight)

Its not worth another thread but today i got a charles tyrwhitt oxford shirt that retails at 69.99 for £3.40 and a wool blend 3/4 overcoat that google tells me is £140 new, for £9.99... its definitely worth thrifting where the rich people live. There was a very nice pure wool, italian made suit but it was just that bit too small at 44 when i'm a 46... i contemplated getting it to alter but i doubt theres enough fabric to let it out two inches
Sports jacket
not totally thrifting i suppose because its new, but i picked up this wool blend jacket today, ticket price £149 sale price £49... end of season sale clearing the summer collection ahead of the autumn winter stock coming in (apols for the awful pic background - the house is a sty at the moment)... it's more blue than it looks in the picture

Graphic tees
Antonio says “nay” for graphic tees and the elder statesman. Anyone just bagged them all and donated them? Just rip off the Band Aid and cold turkey those things?

round the house, BBQs, when you're out for a run, at the gym, working on the car...anything where you're going to get dirty and or sweaty and don't want to mess up your good shirts
Choosing My Hard: Today’s OOTD — Looking for Honest Critique 👔
What would you adjust if this were you? 👔 I know I’ve got a lot to learn, so I’d love your honest critique. If you see something I could improve—fit, color, accessories, or even how I pulled it together—please share your thoughts. For years, my version of “getting ready” was grabbing jeans, a T-shirt, and some tennis shoes. Quick. Easy. Forgettable. Now, putting together a look like this takes effort—choosing the right shoes, belt, accessories, even socks. It takes time to think about the details. And honestly? It’s hard sometimes. But here’s what I’ve learned: - It’s hard to invest in yourself every morning. - It’s hard to learn fashion and grow in confidence. - It’s also hard to be the man in the room who disappears because he blends into the background. Both are hard—so I’ve chosen my hard. I’m still learning. Still making mistakes. Still figuring out what works for me. But every day I take one more step into understanding the importance of presenting myself well—not just for me, but for the people I lead, the people I love, and the man I want to become. I’m excited about this journey, and grateful to be surrounded by other men who understand that style is more than clothing—it’s character on display.

in general the look works, but those jeans seem a little loose
Health advice
Hey! So I'm almost 27 years old and I start to feel that I have much less energy to work that I used to before. It wasn't a problem up until now but it is now. I've always been a hard-working type but these days I can barely find energy to get the basic things done. Let alone something above. I mean I do work out in a way that I attend fencing training and overall fitness but still struggle with kind of "Battery drainage". Maybe it has something to do with a type of work cuz I always sit at a computer and barely move but I'm not sure. What are the things you started doing when you were at my age that helped you to stay energized?

i'd definitely say get your medical advice from a doctor not the internet...have some bloods done that aside, building in some exercise may help, even if its just a get up and walk around your office. if practical you might also want to look at one of those sit stand desks to alow variationof posture
