Daily journal prompt - Tuesday
Firstly, sorry for the lack of prompt yesterday, We had a family emergency which inspired today’s journal prompt… Life is unpredictable and this month has been a hell of a reminder of that for me. When things happen, they often come all at once, and it can feel like you’re spinning plates you never asked for, never planned for and never expected. What it’s shown me again is how important it is to have a business that doesn’t collapse the moment life throws a curveball. Because ,“when shit hits the fan” , as sometimes it does, we still need our business to keep going. The last thing we would have wanted with a family emergency is to be worried about our business and workload. For today’s journal, I’d love you to reflect on this: If life suddenly pulled your focus away, what in your business would keep running and what would be at risk of falling through the cracks? This isn’t about judgement, it’s about awareness. Once you know where the weak spots are, you can start strengthening them.

Hayley, as a sole trader, there is no-one else to do the work. So depending on the 'crisis' period of time, I think for the short term the most important thing is communication. The ability to be able to let everyone know what's going on, of possible delays, postponements, re-arrangements. For prolonged periods, continued online presence and maintaining an income stream. How to achieve the above could depend on the unexpected challenge.
Daily Journal prompt - Wednesday
I’m going a bit lighter today. If you could swap jobs with anyone for just one day, real or imaginary, who would it be, and why? Have fun with it. This isn’t about being “sensible” or “deep”. It’s just about noticing what excites you, inspires you, or just makes you smile. I’ll come back on this one when I’ve sat with it for a minute.

Hi everyone, my name is Penny. I've been a 'people' photographer for 16 years now. Many years ago I discovered just how many disliked getting in front of a camera thinking it was all their fault. So having studied why this affects so many, I developed 'Love Your Image' and specialise in helping those find their confidence in front of that lens, for both photographs and video creation. It has been a joy to watch the difference and progress this can make in changing peoples perceptions and view of themselves, which is so important for their business and personally. Apart from the photography, I live here in North Suffolk with my partner and our little border terrier 🙂 I look forward to getting to know many of you here in the group. ❤️

As a photographer of people, I aim to help those who are nervous or anxious to find their confidence to get in front of any camera.
