Floating in sadness
Acceptance is key. It doesn't mean to not have feelings but to let them pass. I am coping with things right now, big changes in my life, and I sometimes get bouts of sadness. I would love to know what helps you cope in these moments ? Not to make them go away necessarily but to "float" in them. For me, there are a couple of things. I have this mantra that I repeat, it's for Krishna, praying for devotion. I notice that I will start my walk quite sad and I come back with the deepest smile in my heart. Or I put some music. At the moment I just put Persian Jazz into youtube and it just reminds me how beautiful the world is. What works for you? Have a good night everyone.

@Phil Campbell his videos showed up just at the right time for me, it was the last stone I needed to finish the foundations, now building more rooms in the castle :) And the community is very nice, it's nice to see how others are experiencing all this.
Howdy par'ners๐Ÿค
My name is Jenni and I am a pagan. I am 23 years old and a proud cat mom to a tuxedo baby named Maia. I also have a ball-python named Dionysus, but sometimes I like to just call him Noodlez. It suits him well. I love to read, doodle, and am currently obsessed with cowboys, and the Gods (Cowboy... Gods?) Also, I am working on learning German which I am finding really fun. I have been spiritual my whole life despite growing up non-religious. I did have a spell where I was atheist but ๐Ÿคท๐ŸผI think I was just lying to myself to feel better about the strange experiences I was having. So, everything I have learned so far has been from scratch. I used to think it was a disadvantage but now it just makes me more proud of everything I have become and still become. I'm working on being true to myself even when it seems difficult as well as growing a solid meditation practice. It's nice to meet you guys! I hope we can be rebels together ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Welcome Jennifer! I also had an atheist spell, but then one day someone asked me if I believed in God and out of reflex I said "no" and I instantly felt I was lying. Anything specific made you realise you were not an atheist ?
Space
In this painting, I try to capture the space and depth of the scene, rather than one particular subject.

often while I work in front of my screen, I take a step back and look around in my room, this painting would definitely help me get some head space and inspiration in those moments. Nicely done.
Wisdom for today
Hello friends ๐Ÿ™ One important thing that i keep constantly on my mind, is that there is nothing wrong with the way life is unfolding. Whatever is happening in your life, whether you're struggling with difficult circumstances, or addictions, or people, everything is working out perfectly for you. Now, this SOUNDS nice. But in the moment when we feel fear, or worry, or anger, often it doesn't help us. That's because "everything is working out perfectly for you" is not just supposed to be some nice affirmation we try and force ourselves to believe when we don't. It's about fundamentally changing our relationship with life itself, to break free from the illusions of our mind, and see the higher truth unfolding. If you focus on everything going wrong, and how much it sucks, that's all you will see. But if you make it a habit of looking for the evidence of how life is trying to help you, you'll begin to see it. We build our trust and faith muscles over time so that we learn to naturally surrender to life. Only then do the blessings begin to come, because we are no longer in resistance to the source of all love, peace, joy, and abundance. We get angry and frustrated because life isn't going exactly as we want. But it is exactly that resistance to "What is" that is what is sabotaging us from receiving what we want. That emotional turbulence is what keeps us from learning the lesson that life is actually trying to show us, through our problems. So the more we stay stuck in our psychological drama about what is happening, the greater chance we'll continue to repeat the same lessons until we fully learn. Learn to trust life, and you'll begin to see that every problem is in fact an oppurtunity for you to bring forth even greater blessings. There is nothing wrong. Only the Ego judges life. The deeper aspect of what we are is always free, always in peace, love, joy, and abundance. We don't have to "get" these things. We only have to remove our attatchments to the Ego, which keeps them blocked like a dark cloud covering up the light and the warmth of the sun.

one day, it dawned on me that everything around us, our life, our circumstances, our thoughts even, is just Pure Truth. There is no judging it, no fighting it, it just is, the light of God realising Himself. Good day everyone !
