@Cant Speak my mom would tell me something similar….that she wanted to be very present when death came for her. She and I were partner seekers and learning meditation as a way the learn to remain and stay present in every moment. Some very fine capillaries ruptured in her esophagus due to acute anemia (her blood was very very thin and any injury suffered could mean she would bleed out)….well, that’s exactly what happened when those fine capillaries ruptured early one morning from coughing to hard. She was alone as my stepdad was already at work. She stumbled out the front door trying to get to the neighbors house for help….she collapsed in their front yard with her cell phone in her hand. Lost consciousness. Neighbor saw her and called 911. We, my brother and my stepdad were called and met at the hospital. She had suffered too long without oxygen to her brain…..so we made the decision to let her go and pulled life support. I often think about those moments of her….wondering if she was able to remain present enough to know that death had come to collect her… this was 20 years ago….I am at peace with it within myself which I why I can speak like this about it. She lives on (within me all around). I look forward to seeing her when it’s my turn 💕😇

@Cant Speak no worries whatsoever! It’s all good for me. Truly I am at peace with it. I am actually grateful that she had already began her spiritual journey and we had some time to travel together. Believe me….that was so very fulfilling. I got to see her face when she had her first glimpse of awakening…..it assured me that for her there was no more questioning and fear over dying….we spoke about it often 😊💕
There is no God.
One night, it dawned on me and I felt a weight lifting off my body, never to return. There is no God, because God has no God. The infinite Potential lives inside us, inside everything and everyone. It is still and all encompassing, the fabric of everything that is and isn't, emitting the Divine Light. She dances... realises the potential, fragments it into shape, sound and experience, which is why we live and die, because potential realised is death. Through Her, He is Aware. It is a cosmic coitus that self-births over and over again. Whatever we feel is how God feels, because we are Him and He is us. And loving the Light gets us closer to being aware of that. All "isms" are just isolated aspects of the truth. There is a God. There is no God. Both are true. There is simply no "other". A paradox that I might be clumsy expressing, but that transformed me nonetheless.

There is nothing (No-Thing) other than god. God has no opposite…..this Is why there also is nothing other than life. Life has no opposite…..Death is simply the opposite of Birth. The paradox lies within the existence of dualistic realm (land of opposites) we live in. It offers contrast within the opposites. The trick, so to speak, is to see that they are both contained within and are the one.💕
‘Sit with your emotions without letting them define you’
Edit: I should’ve prefaced by saying that I am reaching out for help! I’m definitely not trying to denounce this wisdom or question it, which is what my post sounds like… that’s my mistake. I am asking for help with how to do it, please <3 Can’t wrap my head around this. For years and years I’ve seen it in all the esoteric works and even in psychology etc, but I don’t understand how it’s possible to ‘sit with your emotions’ and ‘feel them fully’… while simultaneously not identifying with them. It seems to contradict the idea of ‘letting go’ and ‘being in the present’ (since emotions coming up are generally tied to the past or future) and the notion of not allowing your emotions to dictate your thoughts. Our thoughts are precious and we need to be careful which ones we focus on yada yada, but at the same time we’re told to feel our emotions fully, and even cry if we need to, but doesn’t that just generate more negativity, and thus more negative thought patterns, which in turn creates more negativity?

Books
Hello ALL, What’s everyone’s favorite book(s)? I’ll go first, not necessarily in this order, 1. Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yoganada 2. When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron 3. The Power of Now by Elkhart Tolle 4. illusions by Richard Back 5. All Silver Surfer comic books including the original Infinity Gauntlet cross over from the other Marvel comic hero’s. This predates the movie franchise which drifted far from the original but was still cleverly written movie (In the comics Thanos’s infatuation with Mistress Death was quite the drama!! Poor bastard was rejected by her 😟
Dreams
What are dreams, to you? Are they just stories your mind creates for entertainment? Do they contain symbols and messages from your higher mind? The spirit realm? Are they actual alternative realities that exist somewhere in the “alternatives space”? Are you astral traveling? I would love for you guys to discuss what you think is happening when we dream. Reason for posting is I just woke up from a sort of terrifying dream that felt like an alternate reality. I felt like I was awake but some things weren’t quite normal. For example; I looked at my phone in the dream and the Snapchat icon was green & white, not yellow & white, so I knew at that moment that I wasn’t in my primary reality. 95% of the time my dreams are not like this, so it’s really affected me and got me wondering.

My particular set of mind monkeys are quite clever, but they can’t seem to agree on a particular census. They argue with each other about who’s right and even tell me to stay out of their conversations when I try to help them see more clearly!!🤬 And yeah, some are lighthearted, others might be considered unpleasant….every now and then I’ll experience a scary one….but really rarely though. I did though experience a super unpleasant sleep paralysis event when I was about 20 years old….but not since then 😵‍💫😬

@Soph Waring how interesting! I remember mine like it was last night!! Yeah, it left a mark for sure! I laugh about now…but back then it wasn’t very funny. Suffice to say that I’ve gained quite a bit more understanding since then. I am totally fascinated by this incarnation on this planet we call earth. Ever since around 2004 or so when I watched a movie called “What the Bleep do We Know”. I had always had interesting thought since childhood like when I was 7. I remember exactly where I was standing…..in my neighbors front yard getting ready to walk back across the street when a thought occurred to me….”If I were to die this instant…would I become aware of myself in some other body”??? At that time I had no idea what reincarnation was at all. That memory, and question, stayed with me all my life.! The movie I mentioned above….was a total game changer for me…absolutely!! As was The Matrix!!! Anyways….I’m getting carried away hahahaha!! Cheers
