Tirz and Reta
I’ve been on Tirz for a year. I’ve been at my goal weight for 6 months and would like to lower my dose but don’t want the food noise to come back. I’ve been on 9mg a week for the past 3 months. I inject 3mg 3xweekly. I was thinking about replacing one 3mg injection with a 2mg Reta. Has anyone tried taking tirz and Reta?

@Bethany Heaton -You are welcome. I really want people to understand what they are doing BEFORE they do it. Many times people are providing suggestions or opinions based on their information of prior GLP’s. A lot of people try and lump Reta in the same functional mechanism as its predecessors and you just can’t do that. It does not work the same and that trips a lot of people up. I will give an example: in your mind you want a glass of cold iced tea. Its a hot day. You are working outside. It sounds amazing! You ask your friend to buy you this cold delicious iced tea, that you’ve been thinking about all day. Your friend brings you the drink, sets it on the table next to you. You pick up the drink, thinking to yourself, this is gonna be delicious! You already are dreaming about how great it is gonna be in your mind. You take a big drink….and it’s horchata!!! Still cold. Still refreshing. Still delicious! BUT it’s not what you were expecting. Many people would spit it out because it wasn’t what they imagined in their mind or expecting. We do this out of reflex. I see Reta in the same way. People have a preconceived expectation, that doesn’t match the mechanism of what it actually does. So they say it doesn’t work or doesn’t meet their need. Reta is a metabolic enhancer. It plays by its own set of rules. When people finally start to talk about it in this way and see it this way, they will do it far more justice than it currently gets. I agree with you 100%. I love the Skool platform as well. I have learned so many things from extremely knowledgeable people. This really is a wonderful place.
Reta
I just started my third month. The first month I started at a low dose of .5 mg second month. I bumped up to 1 mg this third month. I upped it to 2 mg and oh my goodness I’ve been a mess. Have not been able to eat and have just about every bad side effect possible. Has anyone else experienced this.? I feel that it’s still a low dose. I wish my body was responding better. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna go back down to the 1 mg in the whole three months. I’ve only lost 5 pounds. But I was doing this mostly for autoimmune, hormones and inflammation.

I am taking Reta for the same reasons. I also suffer from autoimmune issues. Unless you are in a hurry for weight loss, I would encourage you to stick with the Reta due to your autoimmune needs. Reta addresses our metabolic and inflammation issues better than the other choices. As proven by the latest study. And stick to a lower dose that is just fine. I have not gone above 2.5 in 10 months.

@Tricia Stuen It sounds like your system is like mine system, in the fact that you respond to the Reta VERY well! I increased in .5 increments. Everyone has, what I refer to as, “the Reta wall”. Once you hit that wall…you know/feel it! And the wall is different for everyone. Mine is 3mg. I hit that wall and my body was like…nope! LOL You just have to listen to your body. It will tell you what it is happy with. I would suggest trying a .5 if you feel the need to titrate up. So for you 1.5. But I wouldn’t go a full mg. Most people that I know with autoimmune just don't adjust well to full mg jumps in dose, unless it is BPC, Cartalax, KPV or TA-1. Those most of us can handle standard doses on no problem but GLP and energy regulator (MOTS-C, NAD+, ect.); those need to be dosed with caution. I made the mistake of starting with an NAD 2mg dose. I had to lay on the floor for an hour before I sit up or stand without feeling like fainting! Yip…learned a lesson that day! 😂
Ear fullness and GLPs
I am one of the lucky ones that experiences ear fullness/clogging/popping on a very low dose of tirz (0.6mg 2x weekly = 1.2mg total weekly dose). Was considering switching to Reta to see if the ear issues resolved, but recently saw a post from a Reta user expressing the same symptoms. Has anyone had this experience on Tirz and had it go away on Reta? All research I have found indicates that this is a “rapid weight loss side effect” caused by losing fat around the ear canal, but this is not the case for me. Ive only lost about 12lbs in 3 months, so certainly not “rapid”.

@Sabrina Serna yeah I have had it happen for 3 days in a row once. I noticed that if I keep up with my hydration it happens less frequently. You might try that. It might help you aa well.

@Sabrina Serna well shoot! I hoped it would help. If anything you have encouraged me to up my hydration game! I read your reply like 😳 “i got some work to do!” 😂😂 Yes it is a side effect of the drug. It happens with Tirz as well, you all are correct. 👍🏽
How long to cycle off Reta
So I have been on Reta for about 4 months. I want to try cycling off to see if I can get where I don’t have the tolerance I am building to it now. I’m only on 1.5mg and that’s the highest I’ve been. How long do you think I should cycle off? Thanks 😊

Hi Teresa! 30 days. This is what the medical field requires for procedures. I have seen credible sources state 5 to 7 weeks but this is for higher doses. However, 30 days is the standard for just about any medical publication on this question. Hope this helps!

@Teresa K you are welcome!
Will Reta and Research Peptide Companies Come to an End on Jan 1st?
There is a lot of chatter going around that companies like The Peptique will be shut down after Jan 1st and that retatrutide in particular will be banned from our websites. This is what I know.... Jay Cambell's company biolongevity labs apparently is having some legal issues and they are shutting down the sale of all of their injectable products. They are currently liquidating all of their inventory. It looks like they will be going the tele med route in the near future with doctors etc. This will limit their ability on what they can sell but also increase their prices (which were already some of the highest in the market). Jay sent out an email to all of his followers (and he has a ton) stating that all research peptide companies are going to be shut down as of January 1st. This has caused this thing to go viral to some extent. I've spent a good part of the morning talking with other suppliers, reading other forums and as of right now no one else seems to be concerned. This does not mean that there isn't any validity to what he is saying. The truth is that this RUO industry is a volatile one and things can change quickly. Do I think the timing of the email with their sale might be a sale tactic, yes I do. Do I think you need to stock up on your retatrutide? as of this moment in time I don't have any reason to think that is necessary. If that changes I will post it here first. Let's keep each other in "the know". If you hear anything message me and I will keep everyone informed to the best of my ability as well! We are all in this together!
