AI Agent ignores Google Calendar availability check in n8n
Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve been working on an AI assistant in n8n that helps users book appointments through Google Calendar. The agent is supposed to check calendar availability before suggesting or confirming a time, but it completely ignores that part of the flow. The Google Calendar connection works — events can be created and deleted without any problem, and the API returns the right data when tested separately. The issue is that the AI agent doesn’t actually use the availability data; it just responds as if no check was ever made, even though the “check availability” node and instructions are included in the prompt as a critical rule. Has anyone faced something similar? Maybe I’m missing something in how the data from the Calendar node should be passed to the AI node? Thanks in advance for any help or insights 🙏

💭 Which VPS plan would you recommend to start with?
Hey everyone 👋 I’m helping out a friend who recently got interested in this space and wants to launch his first project — but his budget is pretty limited. He’s not in this community yet (hopefully soon! 😄), so I told him I’d ask here since you guys always give solid advice. Here’s his planned setup: - VPS (most likely Contabo, but he’s open to other providers) - Domain from Hostinger - Easypanel to manage everything - And n8n running on top I’m attaching an image with the VPS plans he’s looking at What do you think would be the best balance for a beginner — something reliable enough to start with, without overspending?Any recommendations or personal experiences would be super helpful 🙌. Also, What VPS servers or configuration do you use? And did you discover there's a better configuration for what you do?

Hey! 👋I’m still pretty new to this, but I’ve been running everything on Hostinger and it’s been great so far.I use their VPS with Ubuntu + Docker, where I have n8n, my website, and a few other small automations all running smoothly. For me, Hostinger has been a really solid option — it’s affordable, easy to manage, and gives me full control of the environment without needing multiple services. If your friend is just starting out, I think it’s a reliable setup to get his first projects live without overspending.
